A gentle but important suggestion for future reactions to Angelina Jordan Astar, to never skip a second of any video. Angelina is a ARTIST and every second of each video is art and/or has important information to digest. This is my all time favorite vocal performance and it is from a 13 year old. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. It really is fun to see how she became sort of famous. In the Norway's Got Talent to start with (age 7!!!)! Best would be Gloomy sunday! Too cute and too good to be true. What is so unique (apart from her talent) is that we all have been able to follow her journey! She covered so many songs and many times better or more impactful than the original. And she dares to cover songs from all the greats. From Billie Holiday to Elvis to Adele aso! And she wrote some songs too, which are very special, I promise you! Nice reaction! I am 69. Been listening to Angelia EVERY day for almost 7 years now. I subscribed but it really is in your best interest to listen and watch Angelina Videos from start to finish. The real reason I love Angelina so much, aside from her unearthly good vocals and writing, is to be found in these snippets as well as in her many interviews, articles, TV appearances, rehearsals, practice sessions, etc. As great as her voice is (best in the history of sound recording), Angelina's soul is far more impressive and beautiful to me.

Not only is she real she first got attention at 7 when she auditioned for Norways GoTalent with the Hungarian suicide song GLOOMY SUNDAY. in between winning NGT and Bohemisn Rhapsody age 13 there are about 120 origionals and covers. After turning down Simon , and Disney and many others her parents signed at 14 with Republic Records on the proviso that they could not push her out till she finished school which she has a year early at 17. So she's just released an EP OLD ENOUGH as a teaser for the album coming later. All these years Angelina has sung many genre but her early love of Jazz is prevalent in her early stylistic choices. Her EP tracks are genre cocktails, each one different mixes of Soul, Pop, Jazz and R&B with one line of lyric rap in DIAMOND. Great beats and a sultry voice Angelinas writing blends old school with new but her matchless vocals make it difficult to understand how she continues to get better. It would be a mistake to miss her songs when she is really young. The one that floors most people is I PUT A SPELL ON YOU age 9. Or WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKE or perhaps FEELING GOOD , STAY, BORN TO DIE, ID RATHER GO BLIND, just pick any. Obviously your taste in music will define which you like best..... they are all good.

Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to jazz at early age. AJ makes one feel her words and sounds. In the past we may have felt a similar sensation with maybe one song from an artist, but AJ encompasses the ability to conjure up this sensation with every performance. Nice reaction. It’s unfortunate however that you skipped the intro. Many times reactors skip intros or short interviews that provide info and answer the questions that they have during the reaction. For example her age is 13 in this performance.I’m not sure if you are aware that she won Norways Got Talent as a little girl. This is also mentioned in the intro. She also tells of how she had been wanting to sing for Simon since she was 3. During the judge’s comments Simin gave her very high praise. She also received the Golden Buzzer from Heidi although that part may not be in this particular video

First of all you do not skip Angelina's intros because you could have learned a lot about her right from the beginning. This was like a drive-by reaction, like wham bam thank you ma'am. Angelina has a very large dedicated base of fans, and it would do your channel a lot of good to show some respect when you are doing her reactions because it will get you a lot of followers. So if that is something that you would like, you need to show some respect, and I would say respect to any artist that you're doing reactions on. If you don't have time, don't bother. If you would have taken your time, and given a proper reaction, you would have found out that she was 13 years old when she did this, and that she, at 8 years old, won Norway's got talent. If you would have listened to the end you could have found out not only that the judges loved her, but the audience went crazy over her. There are ways that reactors can be rude to the people they are reacting to, and you came very close with Angelina.

Absolutely phenomenal arrangement of Queens classic song,the remaining guys from Queen were so impressed with Angelina’s rendition of this song , they gave Angelina the copyright to her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody, Angelina also received the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum and progressed to the final of the show, Angelina and Heidi have remained friends and are often seen out together on social media platforms, Heidi recently invited Angelina on to her show Germany next top model, on the show Angelina sang the Amy Winehouse classic ( Valerie) which Angelina absolutely stunningly upgrades the song, great reaction thanks 🙏

Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them. Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZbin video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On KZbin, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”. Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. It Was a great concert, who was not and could regret it, a big mistake.

Most everyone I've seen write about this performance was stunned by the beautiful voice and confidence that Angelina displayed in her opening acapella rendition of this classic. As were they impressed by her age and history with her previous appearance in NGA which she won. But not you, although you did come around. I just don't understand your initial reaction. She is a generational talent, a lovely person before all that, and deserves better, which includes ALL of the information in the early part of the video that you skipped.

If you go back and watch the intro on your own time, you'll be sorry that you were "not sorry" for not watching it and getting vital information on Angelina in the first place. The "Angelina Experience" is NOT just her as a vocal artist and prodigy; it's about her as a unique and wonderful Human Being. If you skip the intro's and endings to her videos, you will miss SO MUCH of what makes Angelina "Angelina" and will leave gaps in getting a true understanding of this unique and wonderful young lady. But your channel -- do what you want and learn from your mistakes.
