in 1995 Janet and Michael did a duet "Scream". Back in the day people used to joke that Michael and Janet were the same person so it was a fun to watch them poke fun at that. The look was drastically different from any previous Janet videos and the two of them dancing together is brief but really cool.

Y'all should try Shalamar & Jody Watley solo. Shalamar had a few different lineups, but the most popular one was Howard Hewett, Jody Watley, & Jeffrey Daniel. Jody & Jeffrey started out as dance partners on "Soul Train" in the late 1970s. Howard has sung backgrounds on songs by Janet, Michael, & LaToya. Jeffrey danced in Michael's "Bad" & "Smooth Criminal" videos and the Paul McCartney movie "Give My Regards To Broad Street". Paula Abdul is in the "Nasty" video and choreographed it and a few other Janet videos and "Torture" by The Jacksons, "Velcro Fly" by ZZ Top, & "Roses" by Outkast too.

SO many great songs by Janet. If you haven't done these yet check out the videos to "When I Think of You," "Love Will Never Do Without You," "Black Cat" which was solely written by Janet rockin' it out at her best, and was another #1 hit, "What Have You Done For Me Lately (#1)" which was her huge breakout hit, "Miss You Much" which spent 4 weeks at #1, "That's the Way Love Goes" which was her biggest hit was a smooth groove with 8 weeks at #1 and it is the longest running #1 single of any member of the Jackson family on the Billboard Hot 100. So many more. For slower ballads her best are "If," "Again" which she was nominated for an Academy Award, "Let's Wait Awhile," "Come Back To Me," and back to the uptempo with "Scream" which was an iconic duet with her brother Michael in 1995, but do not forget "Someone To Call My Lover," "All For You," "Runaway," and a superb duet with Luther Vandross "The Best Things In Life Are Free," and one of my favorites, "Together Again." So many more to choose from. I've watched a lot of reaction videos on KZbin and your two corner the market. You both are great together and I love many of your favorites. A lot of people attribute quite a bit of success in Janet Jackson's dancing and choreography to Paula Abdul. She did assisted on 4 of her vast portfolio of songs, but we cannot overlook Miss Tina Landon. A world renowned, and award winning choreographer who was not only a Laker Girl with Paula, but went on tours with Janet and choreographed a large amount of her routines and videos. She worked heavily with Michael Jackson, Prince, Jay Z, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Shakira Jennifer Lopez and many more. She has won several awards for excellence in choreography, and often gets overlooked when it comes to her major contributions to Janet's most successful work and world tours for Janet because she is behind the scenes and didn't pursue an out front music career like Paula. I am not sure if she is still working today, but she did have two studios in Las Angeles when she was teaching dance. Canadian Grandma Lori. C.

This was definitely in the 80s, that she made this song, and she didn't do anything for a while, and then around 93 she dropped a new album that was FIRE. And then came the Velvet Rope. So yeah, she bad ass back then.

I was waiting on yall to notice Paula Abdul in the video playing 1 of her friends in the theater! Now you know though, a more fun Easter Egg that you won't recognize until sometime later is that her 2nd husband (who was her boyfriend at the time) is 1 of the dancers in the videos (I'll narrow it to, he's 1 of the dancing homeless guys). I'm so happy yall are on to Janet, as a reactor myself, she's my personal favorite artist, but it's watching people react to her that introduced me to this genre of KZbin videos, and I hate that I don't get to have some first time reactions to Janet to some of the TONS of things (yall her music career is 40yrs old strong between her performing her debut single in 1982 & her performing at the 2022 Essence Fest, ITS ALOT), but it's gonna be fun to see yall really discover that beyond the dance (which is what she gets the most notice for), but she's done so many genre's of music, there's genius in her versatility & growth & transitions through the years, and I appreciate that you guys acknowledge that the music video is part of what made her a MTV Legend, the fact that she like her brother treated music videos like short films or experiences. My next Janet requests would be The Control music video (granted the live performances are better, but that video is to tell the story of the purpose of the album Control, and Control the album & era that Nasty & Pleasure Principle are from are what took her career to mega stardom), When I think Of You (also from Control), & What Have You Done For Me Lately (the first single from Control).

So happy to see you guys doing more Janet! Some you should definitely check out are "Love will never do without you", the live performance of "What about" from the vh1 fashion awards, "Son of a gun" which came out in I think the early 2000s and gets forgotten about a lot (the version with Missy Elliott but without Diddy), and of course "Scream" with MIchael.

Ahhhhhh, perfect pick for Janet Jackson! One of the songs that put her on the map and made her a rising star apart from the rest of the Jackson family. Great memories of those times with this one.

My friend Johan bought his first car around the time that this song was released. He is a musician. His car stereo system was very impressive. He gave me a ride home from work in Stockholm as we listened to this album. Still remember that day in the mid 1980s.
