Sad fact, the singer of all 12 ending songs, Maon Kurosaki, died about year and half ago from a brain clot. She has done many good songs and alot are from Highschool of the Dead.

Another sad fact I just remember, the writer to the manga that Highschool of the Dead is based on died around 10 years ago and the manga never got a conclusion, so we will never get an ending for this series

They're zombies. But despite the heavy fan service moments. I recommend watching. Pitty, it'll never get another season. This show is actually very accurate on how society acts in pandemic times. Especially today's society. Watch it see the reaction, then think of covid. Scary accurate.

Opening song is great, the full song is even better. The endings do a really good job of getting you to reflect on the episode between the music and with each ending adding more pictures of people from that episode. There was a lot of thought put into how and what the zombies react to which makes it one of the better zombie appocalypse shows. There are a number of scenes that really show the horror of the situation that is usually not touched on in most zombie movies/shows.

Final comment I'll make on the moment, to answer your question the series has 13 episodes total. 12 for the main anime and 1 OVA and yes theres an ending song exclusive made for the OVA so your missing one song for the anime. Also to save time fans refer Highschool of the Dead simply has H.O.T.D

All this openings was first work of background seyu who work at that company and wanted to become singer. They suggest her to make her frst album as 12 endings of this anime. Sadly she died from heart strike two years ago at age of 30+. But she leftmany good op and ed after her.

What’s fun is that the ending adds a photo of a store clerk from the series who’s named Shaun and is modeled after Simon Pegg. HOTD just having a Shaun of the Dead cameo is great. But it’s a shame that the series didn’t get to finish. Even if they adapted the rest of the manga, you have 6 more episodes at most if you stretch it out.

Yes best anime over, it and shimoneta got me hooked on ecchi. Its sad the author passed so the manga was incomplete. I recommend checking out triage x it was a small series made by artist of highschool to be similar to it in terms of fanservice and all that, and was supposed to end at like volume 5. And when the writer passed he ended up continuing it its up to 27 now.

If you want one where it's different for every episode, but where there's actually proper gradual change, then check out the openings for School Live (WARNING: The openings spoil EVERYTHING). I highly recommend actually watching the anime, it's incredibly, and a great one to go in completely blind with. So the openings will ruin that entirely

Watch it for yourself. This show can't be on KZbin or Twitch. I believe it is top 5 most known show from 2010. 5:40 One season is result of creators death. Story will never be finished. Didn't know about different endings. I guess in 2010 i was ending skipper.
