Flying a kite is one of the most peaceful, relaxing joy-filled things that I do. I am 65.

Everyone should be able to experience what life was like before the internet. When you could go outside and see people enjoying themselves with simple things like this. When people could carry a conversation.

I used to have something like that when I was younger but I never could figure out to control it. Now I'm sad I didn't

You could always pick it up and try again😊

@@lovelylinda8891 Lol yeah, recently I've been trying to get back into stuff I did when I was younger bc I started smoking weed and stopped all that shit. That's one thing that would be cool to master. Thanks for the encouragement

Check out if there's a kite flyers association in ur area, then bring ur kite & join them. As fun as it is to fly, nothing more enjoyable than teaching someone else that joy. The one here in Vancouver 🇨🇦 dissolved last year, sadly. So I'm heading down to Washington State International Kite Festival this month, maybe I'll see u there?

Same story with me. I bought one at the ocean last weekend and immediately figured it out. It was bliss. You should go back and try it again.

Stunt kite?
@danielsingh9415 Жыл бұрын
It's an all fabric foil kite, no spars to break when u inevitably crash the kite. But it only flies forward, turning left & right. With a 3-line kite, u can fly backwards & relaunch by urself. With a 2-line, u need a helper, or some extra tools: a tent peg to hold the handles, and some sand or bottles to hold the trailing edge of the kite

Let's go, I'll teach u, I got a lil kids dual line foil kite with 40ft tube tail that u can start on, until u get the basics down pat. Then move up to that 2m Prism Synapse on a low wind day with my 100ft streamer. Crashes happen, but nothing breaks with foil kites...rarely. practice practice practice 👍

What are you using for your tail?

Unfortunately, my friend, I’m the person holding the camera and not the person flying the kite. Wish I could offer you more information, but I was impressed and mystified by this skill, and know very little about kites.

Foil kites are the best to learn on, nothing breaks, no spars to break, it's all fabric. Tho depending on the wind & the size of the kite, that which breaks, it could be u! LoLz 😂
@danielsingh9415 Жыл бұрын
@jimmyFX depends on the wind speed, too low & it's hard to keep the kite in the air, even without the tail. Too high & the kite will drag u when it's in the power zone. It's good to keep different size kites in ur kit & different strength kite lines & lengths, depending on the conditions.
