My best friend saved my life 10 years ago and last year I got the honor of being the best man at his wedding. I deal with depression and Suicidal thoughts every day. There are so many people like us and it's heartbreaking that so many who lost their lives to this darkness felt like they had nothing else. Pay attention to your friends and families. There are signs but they won't be obvious. Normally the person who laugh the loudest and smile the biggest are the ones that are tormented inside. Be there for them. Save a life. It means more than you know.

This video is so powerful showing some of the Horrific and Disastrous effects that Bullying can accomplish , entirely Destroying peoples feelings of self worth , self esteem and self confidence ruining there lives , I speak from personal experience it took me ages to start rebuilding my sense of worth but some people unfortunately some people are not able to do so and unfortunately take there own lives before they can get any sort of help and me heart goes out to the families of whom have lost loved ones because of bullying whether it be from school or work it's all the same , it needs more people like 5 finger death punch to bring these sort of subjects into the light so that they can be addressed more instead of ignoring them and brushing them under the carpet .

I saw them several times around 8-13 years ago! And heard this song live and saw the music video and understood... I feel so old now watching a review only posted 4 months ago... I have a child now who is about to be 6 and I attended all the mayhem festivals prior even the last one right before I got pregnant but when in they played several times before last of mayhem they played this song and I’d always cry. My high school was country on a farm I loved horses but I was defiantly out of the ordinary and went to rock concerts maybe 3 times a week. But this music video spoke volumes during this time! I lost many to suicide and I almost lost myself to suicide and I’m so glad I didn’t die. Life is a struggle and it got even harder than what I ever thought was hard to go thorough at that age period but I’m glad I stayed around and I still live this song to bring me back to my roots to remind me to be greatful what I do HAVE now. 🥰

I've now listened to this song 8 times today and it isn't even noon. So I have personal experience with this one, still have the bullet. It didn't fire, the firing pin nearly pushed the primer into the bullet and it didn't go off. 7.62x54R, I swore to myself that I won't die by my own hand. There was alot leading up to this point, but to cut the long story to the main point, when I was a kid, I was diagnosed with depression, in reality, I didn't like my dad who effectively took me in to be free labor. They put me on Abilify, when I was 12, I stopped taking it and then the worst thing to ever happen to me did, every night I had lucid nightmares that I could feel as if they were happening to me in real life. Hanging, stabbed, quartered, burned, disected, every death you could think of, every single night for years, now I just don't dream. But for so long and that only being a small part of my problems, put me in a very, VERY bad place mentally, I was more terrified of my own mind than anything else there was.

This is the real issue in our society. It isn't drugs or weapons. It is how our society promotes and praises bullying and treating others with such disrespect. It pushes people to the breaking point and they either become homicidal, suicidal or both. Instead of blaming inanimate objects, we need to fix the actual problem. Music, games are about shaming, disrespecting, casting blame instead of self accountability. We need to get back to our moral based roots to teach our children to treat each others with respect and lift others up instead of tearing them down for some sick twisted pleasure.

I never looked into the song facts about this song but it could be personal experience/a cry for help from singer Ivan Moody who struggled with alcoholism for many years and checked himself into rehab in 2017. I'm thankful he did but mainly for my own selfish reason, I love his voice. He's up there near Corey Taylor, definitely top 10

Ivan and the boys know how to write a story. All their songs have a meaning behind them. I know some of the guys from FFDP! Now if u could Check out Slaughter to Prevail with songs either Agony or Demolisher. Agony is much better though. You could do that and use the song Malediction!

As someone who has suffered in silence, suicide may be a permanent solution to a temporary problem, but when you're drowning you can't see that. Without intervention many would never live to regret their actions and decisions.

This is a representation, that the one who makes the mistake isnt always the bad guy, but the ones who enforce you to regret that mistake, are the bad guys.

I use to be in the rooms getting sober back in 1992. One of the best things I ever heard there is the following. "Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem." My Pastor shot himself in the head. I loved him and his family so much. 😢
