Stop the world I want to get off...Cutting a hedge over gravel without a TARP or sheets can actually be done... I didn't know until I made the last video that I must be the only person who knows this 🤔🤣🤣🤣.....ok I'm joking but I hope this video clears up ( pardon the pun) the issue.. Hi Lee. I've been having a binge watch of your videos for a few days now. All great stuff and can't fault your work! I've learnt quite a few good tricks and tips from you already, especially how you deal with the green waste. I've been a grounds maintenance operative for a few years now and am thinking of setting up on my own. My biggest problem was how I'm going to deal with the waste (£30 per drop off} and since I only have a small van that is just not cost effective or practical. You have solved my problem completely. Keep up the awesome work mate 👍

Lee knows exactly what he is doing and his work is always spot on and thorough. I have been gardening for 30 years and I wish I was this capable!. Rightly or wrongly I often cut sections of hedges walking backwards. I have been thinking of doing some videos on KZbin covering various gardening jobs I do but the thought of everyone criticising really puts me off. Keep up the great videos and excellent work.

I work with my wife, she doesn’t do the hedge cutting. She’s always going on about putting a tarp down. It’s always windy here where we are in Scotland. I hate using tarps. You trip on them , they blow about until you get a lot of cuttings down. The modern day tarps are so light. On the country estate I used to work on we used old fashioned waxed cotton ones. Very heavy, didn’t blow about and basically much better than the new ones. I use one occasionally if it’s not windy, but I find it easier just like yourself to blow them off. Love your videos Lee. You do as you do. There’s loads of ways to skin a rabbit. Horses for courses and all that.

Nice to see a hedge that is trimmed to a legal height and not over hanging the foot path. Some people like privacy you have the right hight a six foot man can not see over it and looks good, it would be nice if local authorities would give you the contracts to cut the trees and hedges that are not kept in check.by the residents. It would make the world a better place.

What's with all the haters on here... you always do a good job. I've been gardening/working for 20 years and I never used tarpaulin it's so much easier for me just to rake it up put into a bag and blow what's left under the hedge. I see you have two sets of henchman ladders how do you transport them? I put mine on the roof rack of my van with some ratchet straps. They are quite expensive to buy. How do you keep them secure from people stealing them. I have some ladder clamps that I lock but they don't fit well on these types of ladders and I have contacted henchman and they do not have anything on the market at this time!

2:21am and the thunderstorm is still grumbling! I agree with no tarps. They slide on grass and from the looks if trees in the background you had wind gusts which render a tarp worse than useless. Even for paint work inside I'd want a canvas drop cloth. You do beautiful work. There are people in this world who harangue and Bully until the people they are harassing give up. Hi Lee excellent job again, it's a funny old world and as you say everybody is different, i have been doing hedgcutting for over 25 years it's 80% of my annual work and i if possible always use a sheet/tarp and my first port of call for a hedge trimmer is always a single sided, i find them a lot quicker use a long reach foe awkward spots and trimming up at the end but each to their own mate, don't let the no marks get to you.

Awesome videos! I have a quick question about the mulching of cuttings from hedges, trees etc. Is there anything that you wouldn't mulch with your lawnmower? I'm thinking of ivy as I would be a bit concerned about spreading the ivy to other parts of my garden.
@LHLgardenservices
@LHLgardenservices 5 жыл бұрын
I mulch everything but not all the time sometimes I put it in their bin or compost heap all depends on situation. I shred it so small it's like dust and will dry out in minutes and the chance of it surviving is minimal...if its you're own garden or a regular garden try a bit and see 👍👍

Have you considered the battery powered garden tools? I bought the makita 18v hedge cutters and was pleasantly surprised, a lot lighter and a 5ah battery cut 150ft hedge both side with 2 of the four bars still lit up on the battery indicator so run time is good aswell.

Funny just got to the bit about the weather! Same thing happened here in Arizona! Sunny without a cloud in the sky and no storms forecasted for the afternoon! 1-2 pm happens and it went from sunny to all hell breaking loose! Heavy soaking rain followed up with a split second lightening /thunder clap directly over my house! Yep, struck by lightening fried some electronics, as well as a few outlets! Got lucky though as it actually alerted us to a illegal hidden junction buried in a wall ( not within a proper junction box) house should have burned down! Got a lot of flack for not unplugging everything before the lightening started! Had fun explaining that the first clap was the one that hit the house and it went primarily through the satellite system! Fried all the equipment but left certain TV’s alone! Mostly fried my brothers stuff! Mr know it all failed to use surge protectors!

@@m100rcp7 this weather doesn't help this problem but giving the lawn nitrogen will help and when you cut the lawn remove the clippings and throw them away 👍
