There is no speed discrepancy with the pistons. It's just they are all going up to the same height so it only looks like the speed differences are exponential.

I would like to see more experiments like Lytbringer does. The interactions with suspensions, for example, would be interesting to see. I would also like to see how these pistons interact with the current glitches.

You could build kind of a steam locomotive vehicle where pistons extend and retract to turn the main drive wheels...actually this is the opposite from what we've been doing for the sliding doors! You'd be converting linear motion into rotational :D
