This isn't feminism. This is what a REAL woman acts like. My mother (RIP) acted the same when it came to matters of her family, A REAL woman doesn't let nobody, but nobody wreck her home. A feminist will become a "swinger" swapping herself and her husband with other couple's spouses.

Loretta Lynn is a country legend. She is a singer song writer who's music has spanned 6 decades. She was also friends with the great late Patsy Cline. Her younger sister Crystal Gayle also is a great singer. She grew up dirt poor & stayed humble & true to her roots. Like others have mentioned, the autobiographical movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" is worth looking at.

Yes, Loretta! She sang it like it was. Her song "The Pill" was banned by many radio stations. "Fist City," "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)," her duet with Conway Twitty called "You're the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly." She also had a lot of great, heart-felt songs. Legendary.

You have to do "fist city" she wrote these songs as a response to her husband's cheating. Also "The Pill" She was married at14 and had 6 kids. Her husband Dew was a well known womanizer. She had sass! Once she caught him in a bar with a womans and told her "if you like that arm you best get it off my husband" watch her life story in the movie Coal Miners Daughter. She and Patsy Cline were great friends.

Loretta got into a few scraps with women over her husband. He had a wandering eye back in the day. She'd whoop his ass too if he needed it. My cousin played her husband, Doolittle Lynn, in the movie about her life called Coal Miner's Daughter. He's a natural asshole, so he was able to portray that role perfectly. Loretta Lynn is a legend, for real. 👌💯

Loretta was the real country deal. She had style and talent. She could write and sing. She had a spectacular strong country voice. There will never be another like Loretta. She's in a class all her own. What a presence she had on stage. She and her best friend Patsy Cline were absolutely stunningly amazing artists. All of Loretta's music is classic wonderful country. She's right up there with Mrs. Dolly Parton.

Loretta Lynn set Nashville on it's butt when she rolled in from Kentucky. She wrote and sang about real life from a STRONG woman's point of view. She pushed the limits of industry standards with this song and "The Pill", and in my opinion blew the ceiling off Country Music for female Singer/Songwriters. Loretta Lynn is the Original Female Mega Star of Country Music. And she's a beautiful soul and a true Believer! Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Not sure about the timing of when she wrote "One's On the Way" but her last pregnancy was the twins. I don't have the book handy, but she said in it something to the effect of, "After the twins were born, Doo got hisself fixed - cause when they start coming in pairs, it's time to stop!"

@@s.rry-guld2961 I remember that, yes, which makes me think the song was actually written after she had the twins, not while she was expecting them. Definitely watch the movie Coal Miner's Daughter... Sissy Spacek portrays Loretta Lynn and does an amazing job in the movie(won academy Award for best actress in this movie)... This is Loretta Lynn's life story and she did write songs like this, because her husband was unfaithful in the early years of their marriage. If you do watch the movie, her father in the movie is played by Levon Helm( drummer for the group “The Band”), might want to react to his song that was a hit in the late 60s called “The Weight”.

For way toooooo long traditional country music has been soooooo under rated. Thanks to today's technology new generations are discovering what they've been missing. Traditional country music aka hillbilly music is real life put to music. Country music from the 50s to the early 80s is the greatest music ever to be recorded.

This song came about because one day Loretta was meeting her fans after a performance. And a girl said “Loretta I think my man’s running around on me” and she said “honey she ain’t woman enough to take your man” and then she decided to write the song

When she says "get out while you can" what she means is "get out while I still let you"... that's my favorite part

This song was wrote in honor of a fan of hers who came back stage before one of her shows and was crying and told Loretta about the fact that her man took another woman to Loretta's concert and Loretta peeked out from the curtain and said she ain't woman enough to take your man. And it took her 20 minutes to write and she sang it that night with that fan's cheating man in the crowd. I read that in Loretta's autobiography book.
