DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment! Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. in the OMV, Dany and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale and Pau join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

What should you listen to next from The Warning? Put a list of their songs on pieces of paper, put them in a jar, pick one, and listen the most recent professionally recorded live version of the song. That's not entirely in jest, but in order I'd say: - More and Evolve from the MTV VMA - Anything else from this concert - Anything from Lunario or Foro Didi. You definitely will not go wrong that way.

Everything from this concert is original (I consider their cover of Enter Sandman original, too, since it's such a reimagination of Metallica's song). They also played songs from each of their albums - from When I'm Alone, which Dany wrote while studying at Berklee (with her sisters, with a scholarship won on the Ellen Show), through several bangers from Queen of the Murder Scene, through everything from Error except the gorgeous Breathe (for which they played the recording at intermission as Pau, at the time, said she'd never perform it live). Maybe do the whole concert, one song at a time?

I would recommend a couple of things for your next reactions, probably both. 1. Both performances from the VMA awards, the song More, and the song Evolve 2. 2017 TEDx talks performances. You learn a little about the girls' background as well as hear three performances. There are many of us that heard this first and became super fans after.
