Wow that was Her! Wow!!! Thanks! Watching that video next. Did you see the skirts covering the knees. I remember back then one time, my sister was sent home from school for showing her knees. It was considered taboo. It was like in the western days, women didn't show even their ankles. Poeple have lost the meaning of modesty.

Ronnie was about 18 when sang this in 1963. I was 11 and loved it. She was considered “bad girl”of rock and roll. Just think she could be your grandma lol. Don’t you just love oldies but goodies music? Love your reactions.

Ronnie Spector and the Ronnettes were part of Phil Spector’s incredible “wall of sound” producing style. Sadly he kind of lost his marbles and ended up committing murder. He was notorious for waving a gun around when he wasn’t getting his way. Ronnie (who was married to Phil for many years) ended up leaving their home with the clothes on her back and that’s all she took from their time together. Thankfully she escaped with her life.

Yeah, absolutely, it's what you say about Phil Spector (it's truly awful to see his last incarceration photos before he died at 81 in January 2021), but, if nothing else, he produced the very wonderful 'A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector' that featured The Ronettes.

Now that heard this, you need to hear Ronnie sing guest back up on the 1986 song Take Me Home Tonight by Eddie Money. 20 years later. She sings the line Be My Little Baby that came from this song. She is also in the video.

The one and only Rony Specter of the Ronnettes. Was married to record producer extraordinaire and one of the greatest sounds engineers Phil Spector and his "Wall of Sound." He helped produce and managed many artists and groups in particular the "Righteous Brothers." This song "Be My Baby" (1963). Was the Ronnettes biggest hit. Great reaction as always.

This is another one of the fabulous girl groups from the early 60's. Phil Spector produced this group. He later married the lead singer Ronnie. They had lots of hits including "Baby, I Love You", "(The Best Part of) Breakin' Up" & "Walking in the Rain"

Ronnie and Estelle are sisters; Nedra is their cousin. All gorgeous and classy, with both Black, Caucasian and also either Cherokee or Chinese heritage. The studio version is a must hear. No 2 US Billboard hit; now famous internationally. Cher Bono sang her first song as a backup signer on this recording.

Thanks, guys -- Ronnie was awesome (she was teenager when she did this!)- I had the privilege to meet her once several years ago -- after a show - and the first thing I said was how much I loved her music and performance -- so, I'm about 5 ft. 9 in. -- and she's like maybe 5 ft. 1 -- as soon as I met her she ran right up and threw her arms around my neck and thanked ME -- she is amazing!
