The site that it pulled up (for the answer) is 'Fandom', btw.

Wow! A preview to the greatest showcase war on March 24, 1975 where in that circumstance, both contestants fell within the DSW range, but Susan won both showcases by $1 over Terry ($30-$29 difference).
@silentbob3208Ай бұрын
I couldn't imagine it, being off by 30 bucks and winning nothing
@RobMoldovanАй бұрын
I was going to mention that DSW 1-dollar difference, too. It's funny how it seemed easier back then to get near-exact bids on showcases compared to now when some contestants are off by thousands either way.
@BlueCrystalTearАй бұрын
That's insane. Should have given Terry the one showcase for the hand in producing one of the most epic game show moments imaginable. (That should not be the case in this video, only if both are in the DSW range and have a difference of $5 or under.) Would never happen now. These days, people don't know prices due to inflation, don't know about the $20k minimum, and often bid in exact thousands when the hundreds digit is only a 0 or 1 once a season tops. That's done for budget reasons, to prevent there from being too many DSWs. They also don't repeat prizes so much since they're no longer promoted by manufacturers and they don't want another Ted Slauson.
