I completely agree, SBMM and spawns are killing what would otherwise be an AMAZING CoD experience. Also a good tip. You can extract weapons and equipment from Zombies instead of unlocking them. A lot of the weapons are on wall-buy and in mystery boxes. I extracted like half the weapons and all the grenades/secondary equipment in like one hour. Once you have like half of them it'll get difficult to find the rest of the weapons. Best to switch to multiplayer then.

It seems like SBMM makes matchmaking worse. Having it allows ppl to manipulate the type of ppl they go against, it also doesnt put everyone around the same skill level since it likes to give you the worse teammates while you verse a party of sweats. Before it was all random and you were more likely to find an average player mixed in with some pros and bots but now all those average players are going to be stuck hoping to get carried or they have to try to carry a team of bots. I feel like i rarely get an even team and more often then not you kook at the scoreboard and youre either carrying the lobby hard or you've done nothing while your team has killed everything in sight. You dont get that middle ground anymore.

Honestly, maybe it’s just the nostalgia factor, but I remember liking or at least not hating maps like Estate, Derail, and Wasteland. I think games like Black Ops and MWII nailed their map selection; it’s nice to have a variety of big, medium and small sized maps. I feel like BOII and onwards (up until they forgot how to make maps completely from 2019 and on) they just made it strictly small three lane maps, and while they were fun, it removed the pacing variety of games. Underpass’s visibility did piss me off so it’s nice to see they corrected that. Would be interested to see how these all play nowadays, but you’re not catching me dropping $70 on a CoD anytime soon. Will always show love to the content creators tho

Gotta add another criticism: Attachment names. I have a hard time remembering the name of attachments - especially considering the amount of attachments and the fact gunsmith textures taking a while to load, it's difficult to switch to a preferred sight. When you've got the wrong sight mid game, it's pretty annoying.

I agree with Underpass. I was highly surprised. My first match I was expecting a night a rain just more updated. I was like "Oh no!". Then I realized it's the day time after. It's one of my top maps as of now. I can't wait for them to drop the 10v10 on these maps. I have 65+ days in MW2. Over 90% of my time play CoD4 -> MW2 was Ground War. The shotguns are basically the same. The pump is damn near like the SPAS-12, if you do the attachment work. The Haymaker is the Striker basically. The assault rifle style shotgun is a basically the AA-12.

Rank mode was supposed to be the mode for sbmm, while casual mode is supposed to be just casual. A casual non-competitive experience but with sbmm everywhere, what was supposed to be a carefree experience is now always a competitive experience. There is no casual random experience anymore. Just super, sweaty sbmm if you're playing rank and just normal sweaty sbmm for non-rank.

Honestly I feels like if they implemented strong SBMM for your first 10-20 hours of play time then after that it was severely toned down or even turned off that would be great. That way you somewhat protect the ultra noobs but you also end up getting a nice variety afterwards.

Zombies is better for unlocking tokens. You complete 3 bounties in-game for 1 token. I think it resets in-game after it's completed so you can unlock multiple tokens, and if I'm wrong you can extract then join another lobby. Plus zombies is super casual, level up guns without worrying the sweaty bullshit besides crashing sometimes.

Seems like a lot of people are joining in on that and that’s the #1 way we can get it out of the game. So personally I really liked the tuning, but you’re absolutely correct that there are just too many attachments in the game. The compromise IMO would be to drastically cut the attachments, down to 2-3 for the muzzle, barrel, stock, rear grip, and under barrel attachments. You really only need a small, medium, large premise for all of those as far as attachment effect. Let’s say barrel, you pick standard barrel, short barrel, long barrel. And they’d do exactly what you expect, they’d affect your damage range, recoil and mobility slightly, longer the barrel the lower your mobility but better the damage range. And follow that up for all those categories with the same line of thinking. Then as for the ammo type and magazine, this is where the true weapon tuning comes in. The ammo type and magazine attachments are what helps tune your weapon, and shouldn’t be ones that unlock with level. I’m kind of building on the MW2 system of weapon trees but instead of it being garbage, incorporating ideas they had in MW2019 to make the weapon trees make more sense. Instead of 4-5 distinct weapons that actually had separate choices - like AK-47, AK74u, and RPK all being actual weapon choices in the create a class section, just go with the AK47 but you can kit the ammo type and magazine to fit with either the standard AR kit, the SMG variant, the LMG variant, or something in the middle. Like having .45 pistol rounds but a 100 round drum mag so you have an RPK style weapon that outputs pistol level damage and has better mobility (due to lighter rounds) or the same with a 30-40 round clip for the AR but you’re essentially a peashooter. MW2019 had something very similar because the Holger LMG in that game could be kitted out with a smaller mag and a couple other attachments and you essentially had the G36C and I absolutely loved rocking it even if it had drawbacks.

I can't even play the game anymore, I did too well early on that my lobbies now are sweatfests. I can't try a new gun because I'll get stomped for 1 hour straight before I can even unlock a few attachments. And once I do well in 1 lobby, it's back to the meatgrinder for at least 3 matches.

As someone who enjoys the PvE only aspect of MWZ, I really don't like hearing people suggesting bringing PvP back just because they're done with act 3 not even 2 weeks after the MW2.5 launched when a lot of us arent even on act 2. Imo there's not really enough items to make PvP worthwhile if it only takes not even half a game to gear up. Not to mention, perks like juggernog or PHD flopper would make PvP extremely unbalanced. As a result of there not being PvP, they should increase the difficulty of the missions to keep this category of players interested. For example placing trackers on 4 of the game's mega abominations without anyone getting downed or getting all 3 wonder weapons in 1 game (without schematics).

I’m not into the cod scene anymore and only really watch the old man. It’s still crazy how SBMM is a topic still. It was seriously a point of contention back in advanced warfare almost 10 years ago
