Anyone remember the perk system in ghost how there was like categories of perks and they’d range from cheapest to more expensive but stronger and you’d have a certain amount of perk points I guess to spend on your class? That was kind of interesting tbh and sounds better than this. Still prefer the MW2 system with the pro perks

I completely agree and the pro perk system was my favorite perk system as well. I feel like that system makes the game a lot more fun and longer lasting. Having to do missions to upgrade your perks to their max potential is kinda makes sense to me because it is kinda like how you have to do stuff to unlock attachments for guns and perks are basically weapons for the user, but just passive.

the pro system was amazing, granted some were useless some were OP as all hell, but that's beside the point that can be balanced. the ghost system was also 1 of my favorites, you could say what perks you wanted to work for with specialist, you could spend points on certain perks and that was fine.

The perk system is time-based. You get your 3rd perk 4 minutes in and your 4th perk 8 minutes in. You get it a second faster each like 5 or 50 points (I forgot the number).

Game is aight. Gunplay is good. Muzzle flash/suppression is too bright and distracting. Mini map is a bad change. Perk system is trash. Loadout UI is confusing at times. Maps again have too many nooks and crannies to camp on. Sprint out times are ridiculously long its like you’re wielding a 2 ton tank barrel instead of a 10 lb assault rifle. Revamp the perk system, Gungho perk, dead silence, mini map change and a few graphical changes and the game will be fine Could have some potential though

It's a change for the sake of changing something to make it seem "new". And just like how that usually goes, it's for the worse. The perk system in COD works, there's literally zero reason to ever change it. MAYBE just maybe if you could get your 3rd and 4th perk sooner by performing better, that would SOMEWHAT acceptable, but no. You have to wait until the middle of the game to get your other perks regardless of how you do. I hate IW so much, I don't think it's a hot take at all but Treyarch is just the best COD developer. They at least listen to feedback sometimes, people have been fiending for a normal mini map and a dead silence perk for 3 years now and IW is still intent on not having it in MWII. SMH

I’m already looking beyond this game to the next Treyarch game. I know that Cold War had issues and some people didn’t like BO4, but I can’t really blame Treyarch for that considering Activision scrapped a lot of BO4 and forced them to overhaul a sledgehammer game with Cold War. I think given the proper time (which they should have with a 2024 release) they’ll make a solid MP experience. Even with the problems Cold War had, they still gave us red dots on the map, ninja, proper ghost, and rusher friendly maps. I feel like IW likes to make changes for the sake of change. Plus the rumor is that Treyarch’s next game will be set in the 90s/early 2000s and if that’s true then we could be getting a “somewhat” Modern Warfare COD from them which would be interesting. MW2 could still be decent, but IW never fails when it comes to making terrible decisions for the MP. Edit: Also I really hope pick 10 comes back.

There's zero point trying to advance territory in Infiltration when every player seemingly has a 24/7 UAV up. with a lot of help the Akazaya 9 which includes Denjiro (Who Zoro acknowledges as a strong opponent) and Ashura Doji who had fought Oden in the past also not to mention Inurashi and Nekomamushi in Sulong forms who over powered Jack a man who conquered a country and also the man who manadged to escape the impossible: Fujitora, Sengoku, and Tsuru. Also Yamato who was able to go toe to toe with Ace without even using his DF powers. And also not to mention Kid, Law, Luffy, Killer, Zoro in which they possess 2 OP DF users (Luffy and Law) and 3 Conquerors Haki users (Kid, Zoro, and Luffy). Not to mention Law's Gama Knife ability is quite litterally broken. Kaido was fighting everyone all in the while carrying an entire island. Litterally Kaido was fighting everyone he fought Big Mom even before the raid.

At the bottom center of the screen you’ll see four perk icons right at the beginning of your respawn. These perks change from time to time, I’m not sure if there is a shuffle setting, or if this is just me. But these perks constantly change and they do not match the ones that are in my loadout. Is anyone else experiencing this?

So they made a post on how the perk system works. Getting the Perks is time and score based. If you don't earn score it takes 4min to get 3rd perk and 8min to get 4th perk. Every 10 score is 1 second off the clock.

The perks are already split into 3 categories just make them perk1,2, and 3 load in with them done. I have a hard time believing if they can move perks around mid season then they can definitely just go to the old system here

Well, here’s an idea they can just make all the field upgrades perks you pick your three perks and the fourth perk you pic will be your field upgrade that comes later on in the game. That way everybody is happy they get their parks and they can still get the bonus 1 later

I fw the new perk system but they need to make it so ghost is a default perk. And the charge times need to be reduced as well. Instead of 4 and 8 minutes by default how about 3 and 6 minutes. If infinity ward is so keen on keeping this new perk system. Rather than starting with 2 they should change it to start with 3 and you build up towards a 4th one about mid game. Other than that they should add ninja as a perk as well. Game is pretty solid so far just a few minor inconveniences

I don't like the system. The worst part is that Ghost is not a base level perk. The UAV spam is just annoying.

Make Modern Warfare 2022 a dice game. It's becoming clear based on the community feed and developer response that there is a growing difficulty in serving the demands of the fanbase on the part of the developers. I think that there's a simple solution to this problem. The game is simple: The players on both teams are given a six sided die to roll. When the match starts, they roll the team dice. The team with the highest dice score in total wins the match! This fixes so many issues and satisfies everyone. No more campers! I've been playing since the mid 00's, and every year I see the same complaints about camping. This system punishes campers so much that camping becomes impossible. No more SBMM. Because game outcomes are decided by random chance, skill levels in match making are irrelevant. This completely removes any need for ANY sort of matchmaking system. No more twitchy movement. All advanced movement techniques and rushers are gone, so if you don't like people using them, worry no more! Players will not be punished for firing their weapons, because no one will be firing weapons. Promotes aggressive and interactive play because every player must interact with the dice rolling function. No more OP weapons centralizing the meta, because there will be no weapons! No more noisy footsteps! No players will be moving, and so footstep volume will be gone! Only one map will be necessary. Historically, maps are a huge point of contention in CoD. In this new version, only one map will exist, and its design is irrelevant. New/casual players are protected. A new player can come in and contribute to their team just as actively as a seasoned veteran. This promotes better game health and longevity. If you don't like this change, frankly you should just adapt bro. Learn to play the game as it is. Guns, minimaps, movement, perks, these are all crutches you rely on to win the game and if you can't play without them then you should just improve. Just roll the dice. You'll buy it anyway.

This is just a way to nurf players even further. They don't want players being too good or dominant. If they wanted to revamp the perk system a bit they could have still given us our 3 starting perks and allowed us to unlock pro versions of them alongside our kill streaks (3 Kills: UAV and Hardline Pro, 5 Kills: Pred Missle and Flat Jacket Pro, etc). This would have been a way to bring back pro perks and the specialist streak system (sort of), two things that fans liked and wanted back. I guess this is potentially too good for fans to have and enjoy and they can't have that.

I could deal with a sub par sbmm riddled multiplayer if the game at least had a zombies mode to fall back on. It’s the only mode left in cod where you don’t have to sweat 24/7. Don’t see myself buying any cod that doesn’t have it at this point. Hope treyarch pulls through in 2024

Should've just added specialist, and scorestreaks should have stayed the same from MW3. Tactical knife and heartbeat sensors should be attachments for guns. Bring night time maps and more map interaction besides doors. Also ADD Blueprints from MW 2019 🙄🤦🏿‍♂️

How any one can be hyped or defend a dev team who thinks ghost perk when not movin, doors, loud footsteps, no ninja perk, no pro perks & specialist streak option, lobbies disbanding, no map voting, sbmm in public lobbies even in a beta, are good ideas... Should never ever work on a video game again. 💯
