As much as Blade Runner 2049, so sad he died before being approached to play Niander Wallace before Jared Leto accepted the role. I liked Leto in the role, but I wish we got to see him in the movie and work with Denis Villeneuve and sharing a scene with Harrison Ford as well...

Just glad to see people who appreciate this game. A lot of videos and podcasts slam it. I guess it’s a bit nostalgic for me since I got it when it came out. Heck, I like neuromancer too which is really clunky looking but still has a mood to it..
@Wavejumper Жыл бұрын
You are not alone, the game is often bashed for his bad gameplay (wich is fair) but i think it's one of these flawed good games. Of course i have a strong nostalgia bias but i have no problem to replay today (i still have the limited collector edition). This world and atmosphere is so unique!
@staylorphotography Жыл бұрын
@@Wavejumper I have the original game which I can't play on any of my current pcs, so I did get it on Steam only to run into some really huge bugs that almost made me stop playing. I definitely get the clunky gameplay issues as well (not even counting the horrible bugs). I feel like it's a game I randomly want to play every 5-10 years, even if I only play the first few sections. Less bugs in the beginning as well as better missions..eventually, things just get weird and difficult to follow.

Quite awesome for its era. The album Hours...was one of my favorites. I wonder if that guitarist is supposed to be Reeves Gabrels and the woman dancing is Gail Ann Dorsey. And....didn't Iman even have some dialogue in this game? I wish David Jones could have done much more with animation and music, but hey! Duncan is around somewhere hiding behind some orcs in Warcraft.
@corentinlamy99494 жыл бұрын
I may be wrong obviously but I don't think that's supposed to be Gail Ann Dorsey, since she didn't work on these songs as far as I know. And to represent this incredible musician as a dancer wouldn't really do her justice. But the other guy is most definitely Reeves Gabrels, since you could argue that those songs are Gabrels songs sang by Bowie.
@CamPalinSmith4 жыл бұрын
'hours...' is one of my favourites too. Pain in the backside to get on vinyl record but worth it. Its my 3rd favourite Bowie album overall. 'The Dreamers' is absolutely superb.

I got this game a year or 2 after release on the dreamcast, from the bargain bucket in my local games shop for very very little. It was immersed in it for months, such an ambitious expansive game, it has ellimants of every kind of game in it. Absolutely loved it, became an even bigger Bowie fan after experiencing the game.
@Freshbrood2 жыл бұрын
I see your comments only 3 weeks ago! I'm just now loving this game emulated on Dreamcast in PSclassic.. But is it possible to beat the whole game as only Kayl? I think I have a bug where it is impossible for me to jump that fanblade into Gandhar's office- no matter what I do (as Kayl) I fall. Is it broken or do I need to change bodies?
@austinsideburns2 жыл бұрын
@@Freshbrood It's 20 years since I played the game man! I cant remember the fan blade part, but i do know i got really stuck and had an indian dude re-incarnate me over and over during one really anoying part. Towards the latter half of the game I had to jump bodies to progress a few times. you usually get a very brief cut scene, with a hint showing you a body that will get you through to the next section.

You have to wonder whether David Bowie having starred in this game is a good thing. He could have just made some excellent videos and those would have had a better publicity and historic impact than this game which whole may have been cool at the time did not age well at all, and now it just looks shitty visually, no matter how excellent the story may have been.
