I don’t know anything about the Latvian opera scene, but Mephistopheles and Valentin are first rate voices. Edit: Faust sounds great too.

Une "basse chantante".Mais, parfois on a recours à un"baryton-basse'(appellation un peu spéciale), seulement quand on ne peut pas trouver d'autre interprète.
