If memory serves, some of these plot points were done as a complete team at the table. Splitting up was a very efficient way for every character to both have their moment and progress the plot in a timely manner for a TV series.
@AnxietyRatАй бұрын
Yeah, pretty much through the entirety of the animated show most of the time when they split the party.... Things in the campaign were done as a complete party. There was very very minimal party splitting in the actual campaign. It literally only happened like once or twice, from what I can remember. But yeah they have to save time in the animated show and so they have to split the party to show the plot points that they want to show because they don't have TIME to go through both of them as a complete party.

@@shaskusmas Yeah, I think they should have put in an explanation too, considering we've seen Pike, Allura, and Highbearer Vord use various types of scrying, AND Allura just teleporting directly to places. And yeah, it was absolutely hilarious seeing Pike get so flustered when Kaylie asked about her relationship with Scanlan. It is very obvious that Pike definitely likes Scanlan and she knows it, but it is also equally obvious that Pike is still coming to terms with it because she knows he's such a womanizer.

We all knew that Raise Dead and other resurrection spells (beyond maybe Revivify) have been nixed by the show, but it’s interesting to see them do the same for Scrying. Theoretically Mythcarver seemed like a safe way to get at least a legend lore type effect previously. I seem to recall Allura has also done it before to locate Grog and the gnomes. Perhaps the idea is that Raishan is aware of these methods and presumably has countermeasures against them but can't cover up her link to the Ashari. (Mechanically you could get similar effects in game with the spell nondetection which makes you untargetable by divination magic but there's nothing stopping you from asking plants or animals living in the area if they've seen a green dragon recently.)

Part of me cant fully agree with keyleth. Like yes ryshaun(probably spelled that wrong) turned out to betray them in the end what else was the group meant to do. Everything she said was true and her goal to take out thordak was yhe only thing that gave them a slight upper hand. Without her information they literally would not have won against him as they didnt have the vestige they needed. I feel the group is being blamed for unknown motives that they couldnt contend with. Like do they distrust ryshaun and let thordaks brood spawn and destroy the world or do they listen and destroy thordak and ruin the plans they know of that will destroy the world. Maybe im missing something but i think her nger is valid but its not like the group loved ryshaun she just had a method to bring an end to the destruction thordak was causing and time was running out.

Keyleth pushed a confrontation *in the middle of town* and blamed Raishan for everything bad that happened with no proof. When asked if she had another plan she didn't. The group needed the plate anyway, they would not have won that battle without it. Just because she was right they couldn't trust her doesn't make her magically right about everything else.

I genuinely hate how whiney she is towards the group. Especially towards Vex n Vax, who were more directly affected by dragons then she was. She lost part of her clan, but they were orphaned. Idk, i didnt like how they wrote her this season. I love everyone else n i feel like everyone else is even better in the show then in actual play. But idk, i just hate Keyleth. Edit: I couldn't sit through the meeting with the Ashari.
