I love how this show throws blows at the modern version of toxic masculinity. Nate puking when Higgens says "Proud Boys" was subtle but I think a direct shot at those twats. I also love how Coach Beard tells Roy to "grow up and get over it" about Keely's past partners. It's a message that a lot of men, young ones especially (but not only), absolutely need to hear.

That dart scene might genuinely be my favorite scene in TV history. I don't mean to take credit away from Walt Whitman, but this show is where I became familiar with that quote and not his actual writing, but "Be curious, not judgmental" is a mindset I've tried to adopt ever since the first time I watched that scene. It's so simple, but so perfect, and honestly, the world would be such a better place if we all looked at it from that perspective.

"Diamond Dogs": Another vote for the Bowie song, it was the beginning of his 'glam-rock' stuff. Nate's an English guy, IMO he'd be very familiar with Bowie's work. When the song actually played over the closing credits, I actually got up and started dancing! As far as it's relation to the plot, the lyrics contain lines like, "I'll keep a friend serene.." and "..there's gonna be sorrow, try to wake up tomorrow.." The music in this series is perfection.

This is possibly one of my favorite episodes of the entire series! "Be curious, not judgmental " is a motto we can all use to make us better people! Knowing the darts scene was coming made me so happy, even as you were enjoying the first part of the episode. Great analysis as well after it ended!! An amazing journey awaits you!!

When this show came out during the 2020 pandemic, that dart scene was one that got posted on social media, and made a lot of people give a silly comedy based on a years-old commercial concept on a new streaming service people didn’t want to buy, and it turned into a phenomenon. Jason Sudeikis hit that scene out of the park, and for more than a few people, it’s still the scene that stands out for us. And hey, no worries, you didn’t put us through anything last week. It’s good you felt comfortable enough to share about that with your viewers. There is no more appropriate show than this to have shared that, as this show is all about mental health, and dealing with the thing that have affected you. You’re good with us.

They are the Richmond Greyhounds and there are 4 points/4 sides to a diamond, snd 4 members of the Diamond Dogs. I don't know if thats the reason, its just what i came up with. The press conference scene with Roy and Keeley is adorable and one of my favorite scenes from the entire series. Also, I like how you took inspiration from Roy Kent and growled when Rupert appeared on screen

I love the Walt Whitman quote scene too because you can really see that's how Ted operates. He doesn't make assumptions about his players or the people in his life who seem like a-holes, he tries to find out what makes them tick instead. And what would make them into a better version of themselves.

Kheely and Roy getting together was great and her confrontation is great to set up the next couple episodes. An interesting detail about Rupert’s comments: he’s right. She hired someone who realistically would absolutely destroy the team; her management was terrible, but it was intentional on her part. Despite that, when he points it out, it still hurts her.

Yeah because he doesn’t know her true intentions. So when he makes that comment, I believe he’s coming from a condescending place with an undertone of “she’s incompetent and I always knew but somehow she’s worse than I thought”. It’s just shows that he doesn’t know her worth, in my opinion.

The Dart Scene was the one where I was sold that this show knows what its doing... It shows that "The Nice Guy" isn't just some lovable himbo being a lucky-duck. But that he knows what he's doing isn't easy, but its his chosen ammo - one that he has honed for years, and knows how to hit the bullseye. And to Answer your question - AFC Richmonds are Nicknamed "The Greyhounds", that's their sigil as well. And they are 4 people (Or maybe its that they're precious to each other IDK, this one's my speculation)... Hence, the Diamond Dogs!

Nate was hungover and there is an English beer called "Diamond". I presume he was drinking it. Dawg means "man, buddy, dude" and is prounced dog. So... "Diamond Dogs"

I don't think there's any deep mystical inevitability to the name Diamond Dogs, just that everyone else suggested clunky or problematic names, while Nate's idea was snappy, memorable, and distinctive. They needed a "team name" that worked, and he's the one who came up with it.

Dont apologize to grieve for a family member. I was a wreck when my cats tumor came back and busted. I had to put her down, and it was the hardest thing I had to do. She was my ride and die bitch. She was family and i took her practically everywhere i went. I had her for 15 years. She tormented and nice to others. And thats how i will always remember her.

I think Rebecca selling the 10k tickets to away fans is the worst thing she has done so far. It might not seem as bad as other things but she done this after seeing Ted have a panic attack.
