And one of the most underrated parts of that scene is Mae's reaction to Rupert saying, "Mae, as always"....she turns her face away from him and says nothing :)

I love this episode... especially the 2nd Diamond Dog scene.... so many of the so called "problems" I used to run into in my life, I now solve, simply by looking into the mirror and saying "Grow up... and get over it." Awesome words to live by. Life is complex enough without also getting in your own way.

One of the biggest appeals to Ted and this show is it’s not always sunshine and roses. Ted isn’t just always 100% smily. He’s had a lot of painful experiences (dad’s death at age 16 & divorce) that we know of. And yet he’s positive and will try to find the good in people and situations. That is why the show is so wonderful in my opinion. It wouldn’t enjoy it if he was always so cheery and happy all the time with no issues. The whole darts scene about being curious and Walt Whitman quote is 💯

This is my favorite episode of the whole series. It’s literally got it all. The “grow up and get over it” from Beard, Keeley and Roy playing around in the press room, the darts scene, Higgins and Rebecca finally having it out, AND Keeley’s ultimatum……… Amazing.
@siphillisАй бұрын
Probably my favorite episode. So many cliché bits of drama resolved in a satisfyingly mature and fun way

Ted tells Rebecca that he's got her back for life. He immediately proves it by passing up an easy 10k pounds in order to keep Rupert out of the owner's box. That's a man who means what he says.

An easy 10k pounds? He literally won by the slimest of margins lmao

Barbecue sauce being a callback to episode 1, when Ted is asking Rebecca about flavours or scents that have fond memories. There’s so much more going on than you realise on the first viewing. Like Ted himself.

"Rupe-a-dupes" has to be a play on "Rope-a-dope" Mohamed Ali would cover up and lean against the ropes. His opponents, sure of victory would start wailing away at his body, only for Ali to come out and clobber his opponent.

Love higgins standing up to her in the end. Shes right that he was an active part of something horroble to her, but the only thing he can really do is accept that as a bad part of him and his history, and make efforts to move forward as a better person and not be an active part of hurting others again. Show has shown iy a few times. Accountability matters. During the auction episode and between rebecca and sassy. You have to accept the role you played, and move forward from it.

Also a fun bit of foreshadowing from earlier: Keeley tells Rebecca to "fuck off" and Higgins says he can only imagine how Rebecca would react if he said that to her. Now he knows

As a guy who has never had a one night stand and is quite an emotional/romantic person who needs a long connection, I totally get Ted here. I would feel guilty and like I just saw a friend's friend as an object. I know it doesn't work like they but that's how my brain thinks. He's so relatable lol When you grew up being criticized nonstop, it's hard to stop doing it to yourself. We're usually our hardest critic 😢 I'm working on my guilt, it can be a bit much.

i love the juxtaposition in this episode: Roy learn that his "love" or at the very least atraction to kylie is more important that his hate to Jamie which let him to star a happy relationship where just in the first date he can be honest and free to be happy. On the other hands as happy as Rebecca is that Ted help her in the pub, all that was inforce was her hate for Rupper, which granted is deserve because the guy is just the worst and have hurt her terrible, but the problem is that hate stop her to moving on and encourge her to hurt other people just to indirectly hurt Rupper. Just to be clear, is ok for Rebecca to hate, be mad and want revenge on her horrible ex, the problem is that in just this episode make the only person that was helping her quit, a good healthy female friend get mad at her and in a way is still hurting Ted with out his knowledge

We've known that Higgins assisted Rupert in his affairs, Rebecca said it near the end of the first episode, and if you go back it's why she seems especially cruel to him during the show in little moments, most recently the last episode where instead of going to Liverpool with the team she specifically told him he'd be staying at the office "doing work that doesn't matter"

I don't care who I am throwing against in a game of darts. If I have 10 years of experience with darts against a player, and he says, "oh this is going to be a hoot and switch hands." I swear, I will not have any remaining confidence to finish the game with a solid 3 to 4+ MPR. " If anyone is curious and does not know what MPR is in darts. MPR stands for " marks per round. " Each dart6 is worth one mark and you are given 3 darts to throw for 1 round. There are options on the board to hit, assuming that they are playing Cricket. There are single marks, double marks , and triple marks. The bullseye will have two separate types of targets, which is single and double bull. No matter what if you have all marks closed out in a game and down points, you will lose unless you can gain points and close the out the number they have continuously gained on you. Have fun, I know I love it more than most past times. :)
@beaze26Ай бұрын
Double in- Double out means you must have a double marker of any number on the board that is shown on the board to remain on the board for the start of the game. As you could imagine if you are looking to close the game, and or finish the game. you would need a double marker of any point that throws you beyond the opposing side of the game!!!
