The new battle which is John Wick vs James Bond was a battle of who had the better variety in tech and weaponry. This one was just straight up power difference, Omni-Man did not need heat vision, sonic scream, nor x-ray vision, just straight up Viltrumite power.

It's clear that Omni-Man was toying with Homelander the whole fight. He could have killed that pretty boy in seconds. Everything Nolan said and did radiated contempt. He wanted to humiliate Homelander before finishing him.

I feel like if I had to choose between living in a world with Omni-Man or living in a world with Homelander, I’d take Omni-Man honestly. Homelander just kills people because he feels like it. Omni-Man at least has a purpose. And as long as I’m not caught in the crossfire of his world domination, I’m cool with living under Viltrumite rule.

They made this episode because they were sick of the bullshit fan-art of Homelander owning Omni-Man and Superman. He really isn't very strong compared to other Supermen. That Supreme character mentioned in the after-fight brief? At his strongest, he's universe level. Hyperion? Survived benching two whole universes.(one universe for each arm)

In the description part, there is mention of Omni Man regarding his wife as equivalent to a pet. When I saw that Homelander had given her the "Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru" treatment, John Wick came to mind.

I think the problem is that HL is from a series that doesn’t focus on combat or power. Like we have never seen HL full power so of course HL is gonna get rocked. I would be interested to see a spin off comic that shows HL just cutting lose and letting us see what he is fully capable of. Doubt it will reach Omniman’s level but it would be nice to see just cause all of the feats DB gave him were super casual.

Well in the comics the only time he ever fought someone of similar power apparently he got killed, I think it was black noir if I recall and it was because black noir is a clone of homelander in the comics. But I could be wrong.

@@drowseyd21 No that’s true. Granted we don’t actually see the fight and there are no measurable feats. And I will bring up that Homelander is definitely no expert combatant but definitely put Noir in a near death state with most of his skin missing and disemboweling him so HL isn’t a complete pushover when fighting characters stronger than him and Balck Noir would also be significantly more skilled. Omniman would still absolutely destroy him though since we actually see him go all out. Not saying that HL going all out would change the outcome but it might give us some clarity on where he scales.

Even if he did die, if you equalize stats HL actually has a chance since Noir was stronger, faster, tougher and far more skilled and he came out look like that. If HL did get a out of nowhere buff, I think the fight would be much more interesting.
