Also recommend "Summit of the Gods", if you haven't checked it out. Awesome series, also about climbing. Also gripping and sounds like a but more of a philosophical examination of why people climb. Framed as an investigation (soft crime maybe?). Incredible.

I LOVED High Crimes and it got me all hooked on Everest. It was so goooooooood! It’s available in trade now but you can still get it new just not the hardcover anymore

I didn't have an issue with the original video. Plus you are allowed to sneak in an extra book if the series is a short run(3 vol. or less).
