I was pretty set on a Warm 2 but the crossfader on this is pretty appealing. Interested to hear how they compare sound wise.

I was expecting to hear Blue Monday. But aside from that I was pleasantly surprised that the knobs that flank the crossfader weren’t a distraction or hindrance for you. I’m not a turntablist yet but the knobs to the east and west of the crossfader typically give me pause. I’ve also given up on finding a better HPF on a mixer in any price point better than MasterSounds. Having said that the feature set, build quality and price point of this mixer make it a good look. The flux capacitor input is also a plus. But the final nail in the coffin of my mixer review is the master in the headphones isn’t the actual master. 🤷🏽♂️ 🤔 Great job as always Mojaxx. Keep em coming!!!!

I just engage filter on the kick and it usually covers up the click sound. It doesn’t click all the time, so for the price it’s still a great deal.

A good habit to get into when pressing any button, it makes you subconsciously rhythmic with your actions, meaning you can often get out of mistakes in time with the beat, and helps with dropping stuff on beat.

Another fantastic, balanced review… well done Omnitronic on delivering a well rounded mixer. The X-Fader and it being removable is a great touch 👌🏼
@gabrielmercier-blouin74784 ай бұрын
The send might work like a pre-fader if you leave the volume up and use the crossfader to cut out the signal, then you can get the wet signal without the dry. Also, for the filter, I would simply engage it when the channel's volume is down. To me, a built in filter and send/return makes this package very appealing. Thanks for the review!

Well I’m still warming up with this TRM-222, with my turntables and a delay box plugged in. And I must humbly say that I totally agree with Mojaxx, I’m having a lot of fun while I’m playing my records. On my unit at least, the HPF doesn’t pop, but the LPF does. It’s a pity to say that, but I simply don’t use it at all, I took off the knob to be sure not to confuse. And to me, it cannot be a question of high or low price. A brand new model and a brand new unit should not pop. Especially when it was already the case with the TRM-222. Anyway I don’t regret my purchase at all, unfortunately for that amount of money, I consider that we can’t expect perfection.

A&H 92 pops as well....but they did address it on the recent reiteration of it though...

I'd rather the manufacturer adding $50 on the price to solve the filter pop. I really dislike popping filters.

I've been looking at beautiful, aesthetic boutique rotaries for years. The affordable options were just not scratching the itch. But this looks the part. Sounds the part too.
@drewbeck10004 ай бұрын
Their filter approach is similar to Allen & Heath's - it's not my favorite but I've gotten used to it on my 92 (rotary!). IMO it forces me to be a little more intentional when filtering, which I like. Filtering more as an effect, I guess, vs filtering for blending.

@mojaxx - I have my rekordbox DVS uniit plugged in to this mixer through the time code outputs, the problem I have is in order to retain the sound quality on vinyl, I have to unplug the cables from the DVS interface and back in to the phono inputs of the mixer. Any ideas of a better method of connecting? Love the review, this mixer is great value and so much fun. For the money it’s packed full of features

Sorry if I’m missing something obvious here, but I have a question, if I’m only using turntables with that mixer and want to switch between regular vinyl and timecode via serato DVS, is that possible without swapping cables around?? I can see from the vid that there’s inputs for time code vinyl at the back, but if want to play normal vinyl too
@regend7624 ай бұрын
Plug in turntables into phono input and keep them there. Take DVS output and plug into your DVS box. Now you can use DVS and vinyl.

The filter I could live with…I’d rather it not be there at all with the pop but I’d live with it. However I do a lot of my mixing in my headphones and I’d struggle not hearing what the ISO’s and effects are doing. Sadly it might be a no on this

The filter sound exactly like the one on the Xone DB 4 that i have, apart from the pops when engaging them, the changing in the sound when they are active is quite noticeable and it kinda ticks me off... i did found that on the low pass filter is not that bad but on the high pass it definitely add a lot more high and noise... it's kind of sad but hey, it is what it is... never realised that the price of this mixer is quite good! for the people who own one, how do you feel it sounds as a mixer? i know the digital db4 that i have is not that great but is this analog great sounding?

Although it took a consequent amount of time to fix this, I was able to get a power supply from them and repaired it myself with the help of a good friend who knows his stuff. i would be careful to not recommend MIXER INSIDE as the “goat” as he is not and take his opinion with a pinch of salt as the young boy has not prove him self to build anything!! Mixer inside is a young boy from East Europe (with very very proud East Europe Ego / Arrogance) that want to show of his knowledge (not real mixer building experience) by tricking people like You and others that has no idea about Electronic engineering so he can be famous on you tube!! REAL ENGINEERS DON’T STAY ON KZbin, THEY BUILD MIXERS just saying BOZAK was build with cheap components and still realmain the most beautiful sounding mixer Minimoog was buold with cheap components inside and also a bug in circuitry but still is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SOUNDING SYNTHESIZER ARP2600 blu marling and grey mini also ARP2500 were build with cheap components and there were bugs but their sound is UNPARALELED by anything etc etc

I have followed this channel for a lot of years and I always loved Mojaxx breakdown on dj tech and equipment. But lately this channel has become a rotary specialized review channel. I don't blame Mojaxx, new DJ equipment has been stagnant since the start of the pandemic, so I get it. Still I wished he'd review more diverse DJ content than just reviewing every rotary mixer that gets released. Mojaxx could just have episodes where he talks about different topics, like the lack of dj equipment, thoughts on the dj tech future, what's missing/what's needed and so on. His perspectives are always very insightful so I would love to hear him talk more about the general status of DJing. Like this comment if you agree and maybe he can make this into reality 🙏🏽

Not my type of mixer. The layout feels a bit weird and crammed, and Imho there is nothing worse than a brushed metal faceplate. Fifteen years ago, a faceplate like that was the main reason why I did not replace my fried Nuo 3 with its successor 3.0, and opted for something else instead.
