I love how Omori is the same age as Sunny when Mari died, if you go through trauma, it can stunt you’re mental age, and Omori seems to signify Sunny’s subconscious mind, he’s also lacked any exposure to the outside world, so it makes sense that Omori looks the way he does.

1. The “fight” was not an actual fight, Sunny reflexively shoved Mari shortly after she stepped into the way 2. Mari degraded Sunny over the course of the practice due to her perfectionist nature, contributing to Sunny’s rage. She didnt just snap the moment Sunny walked out 3. Sunny carried Mari up the stairs, and into her bed. Basil found him crying for an unknown amount of time 4. It’s implied that Sunny had a White Space before the accident or shortly after he carried Mari to her bed. All is according to the unused text descriptions of the Truth Album that can be found on the Wiki. The mods did an excellent job, these were just some inconsistencies that I found, but overall its amazing

while i agree that the dialogue shouldve been toned down (even something like giving her an upset expression and her saying "Sunny! What the hell!? That violin was expensive!" with a passive aggressive tone wouldve been good enough.) Im pretty sure that anyone would be pissed off if their brother threw their violin down the stairs. besides, Brothers having serious discussions while feeling this angry isnt that weird.

The reason Mari isn't shown as aggressive because she was shown in the dream world, sunny probably thinks of her as innocent and that she can do no wrong, but that is very unrealistic. Usually when people die especially people close to you, you don't usually remember the times they were rude. So she was probably a very kind sister but also still a human being, and a human being has a breaking point, She was probably nice but could possibly be mean at times aswell.

@@DeltaBlazin I never said she HAS to be disabled or anything like that. I just want to say that Mari being flawless kind person is just sunny's overexagarated image of her. I never want to assume the worst of people, but we know very little of Mari's home life with Sunny and her accidentally lashing out at sunny for minor things could've been a repeating pattern of behaviour that she tried to hide from the rest. (The main point of this rant was supposed to be: You don't like how everyone tries to see her as overly flawed and I dislike when people see her as flawless sorry)

That’s probably intentional. Sunny imagines it as dark because it was horribly traumatizing for him but in reality the world wasn’t affected by what happened and just kept on going the way it was. That seems impossible to him, so he sees this dark and twisted version of it, but this mod is supposed to be reality so everything is normal even though tragedy is playing out in front of you.

Besides, we're playing as sunny, shouldnt we be able to visually see whats going on from sunnys pov? After all, in the og omori, weird shit happens in the real world when sunny is hallucinating or freaking out, like in basil's fight when sunny is stressed out. Why not have that? Realistically the room would look all cheery and shit but it sucks the seriousness of the situation if you priotize realism over connecting with what the protagonist feels.

No offense, but this fight looks very forced. In other words, Sunny having to push several times while Mari apologizes doesn't seem realistic to me, not to mention that Mari's design as a boss fight seems contradictory to me. If I had done it, I would have put other options in the "push", such as arguing, insulting, and swearing (What do you when you argue with someone), until finally "push" appeared, because in my opinion it was only one push, not several.

Honestly? Now that I see it, I think it's a very bad idea to make the moment Sunny pushed Mari down the stairs into an rpg battle. It's not like the Basil fight, where it was an actual battle, no, there was some pushing and shoving, yeah, but it then soon ended with Sunny pushing Mari down the stairs, also a few other complaints. Mari goes "Sunny, I love you, please stop." towards the end, yet she KEEPS fighting!? Second, the energy bar goes "everything is going to be okay" which doesn't fit this scenario at all, because this is what starts the problem. Thirdly, these two were just pushing each other, and OMORI is pretty realistic about attacks, what with Sunny attacking Aubrey with a knife immediately making her bleed, so pushing wouldn't be enough to actually hurt Sunny that much. Honestly, I think this should have been an animated scene, instead of a rpg battle. I also don't like how unnatural Mari's anger seems, like the moment Sunny leaves she just loses it? It feels very fanfic like imo.

Good point, but I think a big part of it might be how difficult it would be to do a whole animation and make it look like the actual game mostly by yourself which is probably why they went the rpg route, or that thought just hadn't come to mind when they were making it. But I do agree an animation would fit better if that were an option

Mari begging Sunny to stop seemed very odd, and it kinda villainies Sunny for continuing to attack her, also Mari continues to attack even after she tells Sunny to stop. I love the music + background change but other than that this fight seems very forced.

I'm not sure how to feel about everyone's criticisms for the mod... :( I don't know about it being like the best thing ever, but I'm not sure if there's much that's super out of character for Mari, it seemed normal enough to me, I think. :? I mean, a lot of what happened in the real world surrounding the incident was something heavily implied but never shown, but we know that Mari might sadly not be as perfect as we thought of her and it's kind of imagine that, but... yeah. :? Not to mention everyone else in the real world... So how exactly did she really act sometimes in the real world? :? Sigh... idk. :( But I thought they kind of had it right. :? Sunny and Mari still seemed really close until Sunny got so stressed he broke the violin and she got pissed, but other than that really dramatic moment, she doesn't necessarily seem that much worse than that, I think... :? She may have high standards for doing good herself and wanting to prove herself and not let people down or something and to look nice, being a perfectionist, but I don't think she's normally all that toxic about it or anything, her arguments weren't entirely wrong. :?
