i already commented on another video on this mod, but about 99% of the character interaction is honestly in character and what i'd think would happen after the game. it's kinda crazy that this mod got so many character moments right while just being a shipping mod. although yeah, sunny talks a lil too much, i don't think it's unreasonable for him to talk more than he used to because of him being more comfortable around his friends, but it's still a little too much talking. some of the flirty dialogue i could see happening, but for the most part i think he'd stay on the quieter side.

Hi, mod author here! Thanks a lot for streaming and making a video of my silly little project, I hope you enjoyed it! I'll now defend myself over the Sunny talks too much observation: I genuinely could not have made this in any other way. There is only so much emotion and thoughts you can convey through actions, whether described in text or through sprites. It works in the base game because you are following Kel around everywhere and he does the talking for Sunny, mine is a fundamentally different premise as you're interacting directly with Aubrey most of the time and you need communication from both parties for a relationship to work Besides all that, this was my first ever mod and I made it over the course of three weeks, so there are many things that were just currently beyond my ability

yeah, i actually left a pretty big comment on a different video expressing how impressed i was with the mod. basically all of the deep character moments were extremely in character and honestly what i'd expect to happen after the game. i judge omori fanworks based on how closely it follows the narrative of Omori and whether or not stuff would be in character for specific characters in specific moments, and this mod honestly checks a lot of those boxes. i honestly thought some of the stuff that was included in the mod felt so close to a video i had made on omori that i thought it was inspired by me lol. anyways, pretty cool mod, good job making it 👍

@@sansgaming607 thanks a lot, I wrote some omori fics over two years ago and many of the central themes and ideas of the mod started off there, over time I began to better understand the idea of themes and artistic messages of different works and while I believe omori's theme can be described in various ways the main one could be to "move on from grief", so it only makes sense that they forgive him and begin moving on from their grief as well

I think this is a good shipping mod. If it brings hope to many folks, I’m glad for it. But for the lore of Omori, and how the story might lead, I do think it wouldn’t ever go this way. It’s tough to accept as a fanbase, but Sunny has moved on. That’s the whole point of the game. His friends would take a long time to forgive them in their souls, and things will never go back to the way they once were. If the incident hadn’t happened, maybe Sunburn would’ve happened. It maybe even likely would’ve. But, that’s gone. It hurts, but that’s completely gone. Sunny spent years playing out that logical strain in his head, and accepting that it’s been gone for many years is a key part of the good ending.

I personally feel like after a long period of healing, it could go back to being somewhat similar to what they had before. OF COURSE, it wouldn't be the same. But I do think everyone would come together and be friends again. A horrible thing happened, but the point of the game is accepting that you can be forgiven.

Psychologically, the stage Sunny would begin going through after the game ends is separation. After spending years with his friends, he’d spend a long time away most likely. They’d likely come back together and see each other after many years like how childhood friends do, grabbing a drink together in their 30’s. But I doubt Sunny would return to Faraway town for a decent while.

I don't think sunny talking is out of character, his silence in Omori presumably stems from his guilt and self isolation and whatnot, so in a game set a year later in which he's been forgiven, it makes sense for him to be more 'out of his shell'
