Well, in Sunny's case, he would only have help from professional therapy and the rest...well: his family is broken (his father repudiated him and left and I don't know if his mother genuinely loves him or just doesn't want to lose another child), and friends...HA...i don't think Hero forgives him that easily and the same applies to Aubrey so he would only have Kel (if he is not very affected by the confession), but at least he took the courage to say the true so it is already taking the first step.

I think the friends would eventually forgive Sunny and Basil. Sunny wont fall in dispair and kill himself anytime soon because what led to the happy ending was precisely the fact that Sunny believes his friends will forgive him, even if it takes a while. But oh boy, is he traumatized. He def needs therapy... I dont think he can expect anything from his family but I do know neither Kel or Basil would leave his side. And Hero and Aubrey would join later on after some time processing and realizing what Sunny has been through.

One of the most important things about Omori I notice not many people bring up is that he didn't lie to his friends, he lied to himself, due to the trauma he made himself to forget, the only one who remembered this whole time was Basil, which is why he disappeared from Whitespace. Mari also had a bad knee, which probably adds to why she fell down the stairs when Omori wanted to storm off .

I saw things in a different way In the original cinematic, Sunny's SOMETHING vanishes, but Basil's only goes back, in other words, I don't think that Basil is completely ok, but at least the guilt was reduced a lot. My head canon is that Kel, Hero, and Aubrey were upset. But, Kel being his friend and the helpful one in the group would stay by his side and try comforting him through his pain and guilt. Hero would be hurt but would also remember how he wanted all of them to be there for each other and that Mari would want that too. He would just need some space and time to end up forgiving Sunny if he does at all. Aubrey, would be hurt but also kind of know where Sunny is coming from considering the fact she almost did the same thing to Basil when she pushed him. She would also probably need more some time as well just not as long as Hero. I mostly think that because when Sunny was getting ready to pay Final Duet it showed the real life versions of them telling him that he needs to trust in his friends and that they will forgive him and that he needs to accept the truth of what happened. I feel like they wouldn't put that in the game just for them to hate him after. I think they'd forgive him, it would just take a year or more and some baby steps.

Thats the thing about trauma though. It's going to take time to heal, and recover, and get better. That doesn't make it a bad ending. But the fact they can finally try, and finally get support for those problems is a good thing. And even though basil and sunny are close together, they don't need to be together to heal, and getting away from each other might be the best thing. Of course, this au might describe those instances, or other things.

The only person who wouldn’t forgive sunny right away would be hero. Kel would most likely understand that it was an accident, and Aubrey would be the most angry, but possibly from a little reminder from kel, would realize that she almost did the same thing to basil. If hero didn’t show up, not only basil, but sunny would have also died trying to save him. She would see Sunny’s point of view from a very shallow angle. Hero wouldn’t be so forgiving though. He would most likely think of sunny as the person who killed his soulmate. Even in the actual game on 2 days left with hero, if you try to visit maris grave he’ll stop you with a sad single tear portrait and say how he’s not quite ready yet to see her.

Seeing Something bigger, it occurred to me that the fact that Sunny has confessed what really happened is not enough to get rid of something. Basil's guilt disappeared because as he said at the end "I was afraid they would find out and I don't mind carrying the secret anymore" When Sunny tells him that "They know" Basil feels relieved because it is no longer a secret, however Sunny's something becomes bigger because he is the one who is the one who has the most to blame because he was the one who pushed Mari. Honestly, I think the worst ending this ''route'' can take is that both Hero and Aubey can't forgive or understand the situation, causing them to once again drift apart and cause Basil's something to come back (But this is just for be pessimistic lol) I think Hero would feel pretty bad but he would try to understand that it was an accident, I think it would take him a long time to forgive Sunny and Basil. Would Aubey also feel in a certain way "betrayed"? She would also be mad at the fact that Sunny couldn't have told them sooner, perhaps making her think that her separation and everything that happened wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Sunny. But this is just my interpretation of a possible continuation for this ending(? Also, sorry for my English taken from the translator, I really wanted to share my ideaxD

I have got an Idea for your entire Fanfic (I am not trying to tell you what to do, it is only an advise. Also sorry if I disturb you, everytime I changed my comment, I deleted the old and rrplaced it with the new one) : I wish there will be a Sequel gor this Game that Omori is actually a Ghost half Demon, and this Ghost half Demon was the one who killed Mari.... After telling the Truth, Hero run out of Basil's room, Aubrey saw his eyes with full of intimidation, and then go away too... Only Kel forgave him so easy and being supportive... A day after that, Sunny decided to live in Basil's house, and not move with his Mom... And so his mom allowed him to... So then 3 days after that, him with Kel and Basil came to visit his old house again looking for the photo album... But then Sunny got the panic attack and then fainted... Sunny is now on the long Coma in the Hospital... Kel and Basil never stop visiting him... It is a diffrent story about Hero and Aubrey... Aubrey didn't even know that Sunny is in the Coma right now... Omori intend to finally take Sunny's Soul by make Sunny himself gives his Soul to this Ghost... Omori is trying to erase Sunny's entire memory about his Friends in the White Space, after he suggest Sunny to do so... He promised Sunny to be Happy forever after his memory being erased, while it is actually true, Omori planed to put Sunny inthe Head Space forever after HE TOOK SUNNY'S SOUL... Then Kel, Hero, Aubrey, and Basil finally discovered that because Mari's Ghost talked to them so... They discovered Omori, while Omori is already took Sunny's memory about them... They finally tried to save Sunny by fight against Omori, so yhey also go on a Coma too... Basil fanally realized what he saw "something behind Sunny" when he accidentally killed Mari, it was actually Omori as a Demon who himself looks luke Sunny... In the Black Space, Omori shows that Sunny is going to be his Property forever, and Battle 4 of them with the help of Mari's Ghost... Sunny in the Head Space, realized there is somthing wrong about "this place" and then go to the white space to take "I wanna take back what is mine" so then he took his own memory, but also see through Omori's memory... Omori was once a "human orphan child" who has friends like him in an orphanage. The Nurses there are Evil and abusive Nuns who are so strict even to children, one day he saw a nurse abused and tried to kill his very best freind who looked like Basil, so then Omori killed that Nurse in order to protect him... The day after, the Head Nun was consumed by Anger, "who killed Sister Maria??" she yelled, and then Omori's best friend that looked lik Basil whose name is Hector, he was pointing at Omori and said "Him, it was him. Please don't hurt us and just punish him" The Head Nun surprised because Omori is the best Child figure in the orphanage, "is that True Omori??" she asked, Omori then wanted to say no, but when he saw Hector andall his other friends are afraid and Hector's eyes like pleasing him, the Omori said strickly "YES, it is me... I was the one who killed Sister Maria because of my own reason. You can now punish me for what I did, but please don't hurt my friends" Hector started to cry after listening Omori like that... A day after that, Omori and all his friends are tortured in the worst way possible "No please stop it, they don't deserve this, just punish me... PLEASE STOP IT..." and finally the last finishing is burning them alive... "The torture was evil, but the worst thing happened that day for me is watching them suffer too until being burned alive too... " After that day, Omori's Soul was just wandering around until one day he found Sunny as a 3 years old Child who can see him and a Bond of Friendship was formed between them... Every single childhood time Sunny spent Omori, Mari could never see him... One day, Mari was consumed by Anger and started to abuse Sunny, she even tried to strangle him because of her anger of perfectionist desire, but right before that Omori came and push Mari, after Mari fell from the stairs, Omori strangle her to Death, and somehow Basil could see that... Omori used his power to brainwash Basil to hang Mari's dead body... It was all to protect Sunny... Omori was also upset after finding out that Basil is not Hector... Not only Sunny, but all Sunny's friends and also Mari saw Omori's memory too, and started to Cry... Finally, Sunny and Mari defeats Omori with their Final Duet Once again, but now Kel, Basil, Aubrey, and Hero see every single memory in that Final Duet, and they are starting to Cry like Babies (like all the Omori Fans who watch the final Duet) but after that, there is a Requiem for Omori and Mari... Omori finally understand ho precious they are to Sunny, just like how precious was Victor and his other friends who he missed so much in the past when he was burnt alive with them by the Satanic Church. So then Omori gave him a Final hug, but it is not directly as Omori since the first place, it was an Illusion like he repeat the scene in the True Ending, but this time instead of Hero and Aubrey hating him, Hero, Aubrey, and Kel hugged him full of Love like a Family... Hero and Aubrey, especially Hero, cried full of Regrets in this scene, also Mari, Kel, and Basil was also full of tears consumed by so many emotions... "You can finally Rest in Peace now, my dear Friend, OMORI" said Sunny, Omori said "I am sorry for everything, they are just soo Lucky to have a Pure Hearted Friend like you Sunny, I wish you Happy my Dear Friend, SAYONARA." After Sunny get out from the Dream Realm, he finally Cry as loud as he can after knowing the Truth about EVERYTHING... Also, one more Truth he has to tell them about he has to leave them again... Right after that, everyone especially Mari and Hero are hugging Sunny with so tight with their Loud Cry... Now Sunny possess Omori's Power too, he can finally turn their place into the Head Space like Teleport... They can finally have fun for One Year, but one Year in Head Space is equal to just 1 night in Real Life since Head Space is now ruled by Sunny... In the last moment, Mari left and said the Final Good Bye to all of them... Mari also warned his brother to not forget he will tell them the Truth about what happened to him now... Finally the ending Plot Twist wished that the ending will be : They finally woke up, and meets Sunny infront of the Church's door... Sunny came to 4 of his Freinds and give Basil the Album and apologize about everything to 4 of them because this is a goodbye... Yet Aubrey and Hero are still mean and pissed of again because Sunny will leave them again... While Basil and Kel are such Happy and Chills... "This is my last wish I asked for you to never forget me, Mari and our friendship, always be freinds to each others all 4 of you. I am sorry for all the things I did. Also for you Basil, sorry I can not fufill my Promise, I have to leave you again now, yet this is probably the last time we meet, but worry not because everyone knows the truth right now. Everything is going to be Okay." said Sunny with tears in his eyes. Suddenly, Hero's and Aubrey's anger and also Kel's and Basil's Happiness turned into very very EXTREMELY DEEP SADNESS after they realized Sunny is already DEAD last night, sacrificing his life to safe them... All that left was just the Album given by him in Basil's Hand that now full of tears. Yet the other 3 are just crying reaching Sunny's Hand from his body, Hero and Aubrey regrets everything, but it cannot bring Sunny back to life... Sunny looks like he is sleeping so peacefull on the roses under the sunlight that directly from the window of the Church... Kel, Hero, and Aubrey is Depressed but it can not be compared to Basil's Depression. And then, Sunny's Ghost walk to them, and so they hugged him, one by one of them said "Please don't go... Don't leave us..." with a loud crying voice Polly then asked them "why are you hugging airs??" but they don't answer... "My time has come for me to be with my sister again, I actually don't want to leave you, but we can not fight our destiny." said Sunny "Thankyou for everything, thankyou for making my life Beautiful, but now you have to continue your life without me... " and finally the final sentence makes everyone cries : "PLEASE LIVE A HAPPY LIFE, I CAN'T HAPPY IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY IN LIFE, AND FOR THE LAST TIME ALLOW ME SAY..." Sunny's very Last word is "SAYONARA" After that moment, Sunny can finally show his form like a shining light to all of the people there, and then his Soul finally disappear...
