123/77 is a very good reading. Even your first one was good. They say as a general pointer your top number should be your age plus 100 for people under the age of 60. More than 120 over 80 and less than 140 over 90 is considered normal rage. So all is good.

I dunno if blood pressure should go up with age. It's something we have become socially used to. If you use that measurement, mine "should be" 154. Yikes. It was heading up to 138, but I got a stomach problem and starved a bit. Lost 10kg. I found that the weight loss may have starved bad "tofi" visceral fat out of some areas of my body. This caused a semi-permanent pressure drop. After 2 years, it started to make its way up again. I know some parts of blood pressure might relate to hardened arteries and kidney stuff. But you sure should do some fasting to work out whether some component is caused by visceral fat hormones.

Varta AA cells are 30c each and will last probably 200 cycles. If you use it a lot, then rechargable NiMH 2600mah batteries will work, but they cost $40 to get going
