Pandit Maniram ji and Pandit Jasraj ji

Pandit Maniram ji and BadeGuruji Pandit Jasraj ji rendering a series of Ragas (including Raga Bangali, Raga Darbari Kanada, Raga Adana, Raga Sindhavi and Raga Madhyamavati) in a very old interview. Another great artiste, Pandit Girish Wazalwar ji is rendering Raga Bairadi (Shudh) in this clip. I am sorry I do not have the full interview video, this is all I have. Other disciples of Maniram ji and BadeGuruji, such as Pandit Chandrashekhar Swami ji and Dr. Mukund Lath ji are also present in the video. The interviewer is Pandit Vinay Chandra Maudgalya (thanks to Raju Asokan for clarifying this).

Very precious. This must have been at least 40 years old. Considering that the quality of sound is very good. Pandit Maniram was Pandit Jasraj's Guru. This must have been recorded on old cine camera. Thank you for sharing

This is a 55-60 year old recording. Pt.Jasraj died 90.He appears between 35 - 40 in this video.

Anzay Warid Pandit Jasraj has a range of more than 3 octaves close to 3.5 octaves....his voice texture is equally great and beautiful ....although I agree that pt Maniram had a class of his own ....
