Omsi 2: How to remove the Speed Limiter of a bus *Tutorial*

Are you tired of speed limiters in Omsi 2 slowing you down? Making you run late? Well in this Omsi 2 tutorial I show you exactly how you can remove the speed limiter from most buses in Omsi 2, including all UK buses, most LHD buses and HK buses. Removing or changing the speed limiter of a bus in Omsi 2 is actually an extremely simple thing to do, that takes no more than a few seconds. Changing the speed limiter of the bus is the same for most buses and involves editing a bit of code in the engine const file, however in some buses the code may appear slightly differently, but the process is the same.
For the purpose of this tutorial I remove the speed limiter of the Enviro C400R and the Enviro 200MMC in Omsi 2, but the process is the same for most buses. One thing to note is that the speed a bus can achieve is linked to the points under Max Throttle in the const file. So some buses like the Enviro 200 MMC will actually reach a top speed of about 82.9km/h, thus if you are looking to change the top speed of a bus, you will have to follow the steps I used for the Enviro 200 MMC. However, bear in mind that when you are adding points to the Max Throttle, the values used for the Enviro 200MMC may not work with other buses.
I also apologies for the muffled sound heard in the background due to the speakers, it was my first time using the mic and as such it was not configured properly, that is why when I show you the buses with the speed limiter in game I have added the music to silence the audio, as it was not configured correctly, apologies. However if you look at the speedometer of the buses or in the top left corner, you will see the London Citybus 400 accelerate past 98km/h: the speed it was previously limited to. And you will also see the Enviro 200MMC accelerate past 80km/h the speed that it was previously limited to.
Note: I strongly suggest you create a back up of your engine const files, as if a gap or error is made in the code, it will break your bus!

Under the engine const file should be speed gov/max speed etc. you can change it.

@TransportEnthusiast actually done this and still bus was limited, however after looking through all the files, i did find where the speed limiter option was and its not anywhere near the engine or gearbox script, its a separate file, with literally just the speed limiter inside

@@TransportEnthusiast I use the Logitech G920 wheel and pedals setup and I’m trying to find a way to get the kickdown working properly on the Voith 400MMC so I can use it for streams. I’ve used keyboard in the past to attempt it but I’ve had no such luck.

Yes but how does it know what speed limit the road is that it's travelling on to determine what the maximum speed is? Or am I referring to the speed governor.... Some of the new electric buses you see won't go above the road speed limit it is on, so if its in a 20mph zone then it won't go over that speed limit.... How does the bus know what speed limit it is in

You need to add extra rpms in the engine const file, rhought I showed that i the vid unless I have mistaken. Some of it is also down to gearbox scripts which Idk how to do

@@TransportEnthusiast Seems like the top speed is a 100km/h. I've edited some files for my MAN Bremen A40 and 37 or the MAN Lion City rather and that particular bus isn't spawning anymore. Whenever I select it, the game pauses for a brief moment and then unpauses without the bus being there. All of the other buses are loading in.

Be careful what you change in the notepad files, if you accidentally remove a line it brakes the bus
