you should try PETG isntead of PLA - less toxic fumes

I actually print PETG more than I do PLA, Bmabu''s newer PETG HF is great.

For 3mm basswood, how clean are the edges in terms of charring? Do we need to clean the edges so it doesn't stick to the fingers?
@RyanMercer2 ай бұрын
@@mukeshmuthu8765 I've found the goo/gunk can be reduced by bringing the power down some. It's about the same as any other laser I've used.

I have these OMtech Polar and the cutting and engraving quality sometimes it works beautifully, but other times it completely misses the mark, leaving burnt edges or incomplete cuts. I tried to reached the customer service but very slow response.

Sorry to hear that. Are you cleaning the lens regularly? That's my only thought.

That it will burn a line as precise as 0.04 inches

@@ald.3449 0.4 inches/10mm on a single pass for basswood but for other stuff I'd say 3-6mm depending on the material.

Yeah, running a CO2 laser below 20% power is generally not recommended so many will just prevent you from doing it.
