Although it is certainly the most famous, the Alamo is not the only mission in San Antonio. There are actually five in total, and this adventure takes us to the other four. They are connected by a series of hiking/walking/biking trails and the famed San Antonio Riverwalk. Come see Mission Espada, Mission San Juan, Mission San Jose, and Mission Concepcion -- all built in the early 1700s.

I wasn't too keen on riding the missions trail but after seeing your video of the trail I am now interested in doing it. I live about 45 minutes away so it won't even be far to drive to. Glad to see there was public restrooms. That's a must for me being 66. I like to ride my e-bike on the trail system in San Antonio. Its great, isn't it? Seems like we have more days a year that we can ride than the rest of the US. I grew up in Kansas but moved here about 5 years ago. This is so much better. Thanks for making this video. Thanks for the getting out early to beat the crowd tip. That will give me more motivation to get out sooner. I have always struggled with that.

You should definitely do the ride! We're ready to pack up, head south, find some warmer weather, and do it again!

My wife and I also have the same two bikes. I changed out the handle bar on my wife's step-thru, it is swepted back, allowing her to sit much more upright. Much more comfortable for her to ride and she loves them. Give the Jones H-bar SG 2.5 Loop Aluminum a try.

Thank you so much for the tip. It’s funny you mention that, because my wife was wishing her handlebars could be in a slightly different position. We will definitely check it out.

Love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing. We plan our vacations around areas we want to visit and cycle. I have a burley minnow that I have used to take our dog with us. Unfortunately, he was somehow able to jump out while we were moving, tipping the trailer, because another dog had lunged at him. Now my husband is concerned about me riding with him. Any suggestions how to prevent a repeat accident?? Thank you in advance. Wish I had a safe way to secure him in the trailer.

Thanks, Kathleen. We really appreciate your comments. With our dog trailer, you do have the ability to completely zip the dog inside so it is impossible to escape. Our dog is a little nervous when fully enclosed, and does better when he can stick his head out. It would not be difficult to rig a loop in the bottom of the trailer if you wanted to secure with a short lead. Good luck!

I can't remember exactly. We did it easily during the middle part of the day. It was very achievable and mostly flat. We hope you enjoy!
