BABYMONSTER is by far the best girl group of 5th generation and quickly rising and on the path to becoming legends just like both of their older sister groups 2NE1 and BLACKPINK. I didn't see any of 2NE1's career, I wasn't at BLACKPINK's (my ult group) debut, I'm glad I've witnessed BABYMONSTER's rise since trainee days.

It's such a good song and M/V, SOTY. The girls all kill and look amazing. Raps, vocals, choreo, all amazing. So happy to see Chiqui start the rap, but damn all the girls did so good at singing and rapping. Also love that rappers are singing and singers are rapping. My favourite release from them so far. Gives nostalgic 2NE1 vibes in some parts. Just bright and fun. There is no doubting the girls talents, and its nice to see a liitle switch from the previous releases. I liked them too, of course. I think the mv itself elevates the listening experience even more. They have already performed in front of thousands at 'mini concerts' dressed up as 'fan meets' . That as well as opening for 2NE1 on their comeback tour seems to have given them even more confidence in their performance levels. It really shows through here, and can only be good for them moving forwards. YG is looking after them well.

Wow! This is epic! Song of the year I’d say. Thank you so much Coach and Mrs. Coach…incredible reactions! Yes, they truly are on a different level! BTW, the storyline is that Chiquita is urgently delivering more DRIP cassettes by smashing into the record store. [ The actual cool older dude who was the record store owner in the video has a YT channel! His behind-the-scenes comments are in his video on the channel “I’m Not Marvin Music”] But they are selling so fast-even from the overtaken ice cream truck-that they are running out! They need more copies because everyone is spontaneously dancing to it, as Asa reports, and the dude Ruka is trying to interview in the street is being arrested for bootlegging the cassettes. You can see that same dude earlier in the restaurant, where outside you see Rora is grooving and glittering! Later all the girls are in the factory manufacturing more DRIP cassettes 😎. At the end there are finally enough DRIP cassettes being delivered to keep everyone happy and partying! 🎉 Thanks again! ❤❤❤-❤-❤❤❤

I have been saying since Last Evaluation - Ruka's singing voice is awesome. It is a mix of Rora, Jisoo, and Onda and she can hit whistle notes. So glad they are finally letting her sing. BabyMonster wakes up every day and chooses violence = they are kiling everything and everybody. The B sides are also awesome and should have had MVs (just like YG said). Korea has retro stores (Blackpink house & Blackpink 24/365 showed Lisa and Rose going to them buying records and retro clothes - that's where lisa's KISS leather jacket in LaLisa MV came from) and it is easy to buy cassettes and records in Korea.

Yeah, I wasn't crazy about the last one, but I was blown away by "Drip." I've known Babymon had the talent but didn't have the songs. With "Drip," it feels to me like they've finally danced out from under Blackpink's shadow and found their own groove. I think it also works because I think this is the first song that really highlights their vocal abilities. The prechorus is absolutely beautiful, and that three-note rise puts Pharita (I think?) in IU territory as a singer with incredible range. As much as I hate to say it, cause Rosie is my bias, I think this is her strongest competitor for Song of the Year. (It's also interesting that this, like "Apt," uses a very catchy chant to help drive the song.) As a side comment, been following the Drip-Drip-Drip of Hybe documents, and I think it's just nuts that Hybe thinks it can take down Blackpink and Babymonster, especially after this. The girls really are the Monsters of the Fifth Gen. Now I can't wait to hear the whole album...

I would also like to add, being the 'youngest' child of YG, they get all the benefits of experience from their parents. You see that YG made mistakes with 2NE1, then more mistakes with Blackpink, and finally when he gets to his 3rd child he can make changes to how he is raising them up to be artists. So yeah, they have the financial backing of a huge agency, but they have the added benefit of better treatment from the wisdom gained from past mistakes. Talk about having your cake and eating it too! 7 sassy young women, making their mark on the music industry, Lisa would be proud!

Rose release comeback was unexpected. She didn't show any teaser and tell people her solo comeback. If they knew, some agency would hold off their comeback for few weeks until rose song falls from the charts 😂 Shes beating everybody in south korea music show awards right now and shes not even in the country. Not to cause a fan war but stating facts shes going head to head with aespa - swiplash. The only group that comes close to rival her on the music chart at the moment. And rose has been winning 5th straight awards so far. Baby monster will join the list soon and see what they will accomplish. Going against rose and aespa 😂 Of course we don't like fan wars but the music charts is competition for them

Seems like people do not understand the difference between a vocalist and a rapper. Vocalist in kpop is not just someone who can hold a tune, but can perform difficult transition and also has the musicality. Most people can hold a tune as in most rappers, but doing difficult vocal acrobat and transition are a different ball game.

Great reaction. Love BabyMonster, especially Clik Clak, full-on YG rap mode. But I tell who is not afraid to release at the same time, Jennie, Rose, Lisa and soon Jisoo. Just views-wise, the BP members are dominating Kpop, and even World-Pop. It is kind of unfortunate for BabyMonster and AESPA are having comebacks at the same time that BP members are releasing solos. Nevertheless, they are building up their brands.

This is a superb and well written song. If this was heard on the radio, I doubt most people would know it was K-pop due to the use of English. I've just looked on Amazon.Its not showing a cassette version, but multiple cd versions. I've seen cassettes in K-pop videos before. They are used as cassettes are in vogue and especially now. Unfortunately, cassette players sold now are terrible. The motors and the mechanisms are very cheap now and are poor quality. Cassette players back in the day had better motors and mechanisms. I have a Technics full size cassette player from around 93. It plays fine as the rubber belts haven't turned to a sticky sludge. New players have terrible wow and flutter.

@CoachCastTV When I worked in the Our Price Music Store Xmas 88, one person brought back Lovesexy by Prince. There was no actual cassette. It was just the yellow leader in and out tape only. Of course, I exchanged it. I did purchase the Elvis Costello Girls, Girls, Girls compilation on cassette in 89. I had to take it back. It had 65 songs on it and was 180 minutes in length. Due to the long length, it could not cope and run slower than a regular length cassette. Ironically, pens and pencils were not adequate to rewind or fast forward as they were not wide enough. Somehow, it worked with a struggle. You were able to buy a contraption with a handle that did the job, but that meant spending money.

BTW, Rose just did "First We Feast," the show where the host chats with the guest while they're eating hotter and hotter spicy wings. (Jenna Ortega chowed down like it was nothing.) It's a really interesting conversation where Rose talks about her life and her songs, with the buzz point being she revealed she's been in a couple of toxic relationship no one knew about, but she said the wonderful thing about music was that you could take something sad and make it into something beautiful. It's the most open I've heard her being since the "Light Up the Sky" doc. KDA? Young Posse?
