On Board "The Spring Cornish Explorer" with 37668+37518

It was a long day as most of the day we was seating on the train but that was ok as we were on a proper train with comfortable seats.
The train took longer as we went the long way round to Bristol from Dorridge via Oxford Didcot Swindon and Bath.
We only had two hours and eight minutes to visit the spoons pub in St Ives and get back to Penzance for the train back to Dorridge which was easily done with time to say hello to a friend.
We were very lucky as we had fantastic weather to see so many great views while on the train, and the train was on time arriving at both destinations.

Yes it was a good day, and as I noticed three sets of Castle class HSTs and more might be coming back over the summer season I might have to have a day down that way. Cheers for your comment, Mike.

Yes it was a great day with great weather, but I must admit Ben I was getting feed up of sitting down, although the seats on them MK 2s were a lot better than todays new travelling crap trains.

Hi Mike ,I did wonder if you’d be on it when I saw it was coming from your neck of the woods. I filmed it at Sprey point ,Teignmouth , so as to get the lighting correct.I’m not normally a fan of WCR livery, but have to admit they looked & sounded great, I was especially impressed with the stock . I only run video shorts now, but my video will be on soon. Life with trains is very boring now , apart from my view of the sleeper and occasional passing clay or engineering train . I still watch your videos with great interest and adventures around the country. Another great Mike production, hope you enjoyed the day in the West Country, I noted you got our latest attraction at the warren, £6 ago lol Andy ..ps I’m presuming you are seated in coach A-second window from the rear of it ?

Hi Andy firstly I get the reason you have little interest in what goes on with the railways down your way which is why I don't think I will come down this year to do a days filming.
