Those were the days... Still my favorite racing class.

Neevesy, Great onboard run but I was really hoping that you would do detailed walk around of the bike. Maybe in another video ? Im hoping.

What camera/microphone was used on bike to record the footage?
@neevesybikesАй бұрын
I’m not sure to be honest. It was all set up by Kawasaki’s video team. They may have been GoPros…
@pwburch1988Ай бұрын
Were you able to compare it to any of the others that year, like the Aprilia?
@neevesybikesАй бұрын
Not that year, but we rode Biaggi’s Aprilia for three laps of Aragon the year before. It’s impossible to compare, but they both felt like the fastest, best handling, perfect versions of the road bike.
@pwburch1988Ай бұрын
@neevesybikes one can only imagine. To this day I still feel so gutted for Tom; a handful more points and he would / should have been a triple world champion. From where they started from, to the JR era ending, still such a great episode of WSBK.

Is it running on 2 cylinders on full lean?
@neevesybikesАй бұрын
Yep, full and partial lean depending on gear, throttle position, TC, where it is on track and about a hundred other parameters. Factory bikes are a bit special.

It's the throttle bodies, similar to the 24' Honda Fireblade RRR..

1:53. You were being careful not to hurt Tom's bike. ;-) I bet you've been around there faster than that.
@neevesybikesАй бұрын
Definitely. We only got three flying laps, so it was taking me for a ride, really.
@Bumbaclot213Ай бұрын
Why did it go down to two cylinders in the corners?
@neevesybikesАй бұрын
It’s a rider aid to control the power. It has twin throttle bodies like the new Blade and S/M1000RR.
@afropovicАй бұрын
@@neevesybikes Shame they never put that on the production bike. I had a 13 and the TC was quite intrusive if I remember correctly. How are the current electronics Mr. Neeves

@@afropovicdifferent league now. Ducati and BMW electronics are better than the race kit stuff I used to use.

How do you resist the urge to go mental like this when you are on zx10s and similar bikes on normal roads motorways ect
@neevesybikesАй бұрын
Well, we all have our moments, but generally the more you ride on track, the less you want to go fast on the road!
@phillipchandler8862Ай бұрын
@@neevesybikes Found that myself. It just seems pointless on the road when you know what the bike can do on track. Not to say that a spirited ride on the right road is not fun.
