I love the vagueness of the early season storylines such as Tim's first divorce and his diabetes. These character details (which would be expanded upon in the new seasons) were glossed over for comedic effect but it creates a mystery to Tim's character and subsequent character development giving him more depth as a person. No wonder he deals with anger issues constantly, his life has been one hurdle after another since his blood clots.

I love how this goes from blood clots treated with "alternative medicine (which you're really stupid if you do this)", to blood clots treated with surgery, to foot tingling and swelling, to denying he has diabetes, to multiple infections from acupuncture, to admitting he has diabetes, to getting his face contused and hand crushed by his motorcycle, to a retina tear, to blindness, to seeing his acupuncturist again, to replacing eating with nutritional vaping (and becoming a rock band member), to having delusions (ideas coming out the nose), to nicotine addiction, to getting into an extreme accident and getting 2nd degree burns, to a intervention for his borderline stupidity, to opiate addiction, to complete burn face, to not being able to remove his shirt, still smoking the defective vape, to the topical antibiotic causing mood swings, to another infection and gangrene on his face, to contracting flesh eating bacteria, to again self medicating, to running a high fever, to wearing a self lubricating mask, to taking germ shield x, to coming down with a cold, to getting more questionable antibiotics, all while Gregg is being a dick for not supporting Tims medical condition.

My grandfather is exactly like Tim. A random person could tell him some unfounded information, about eating this or drinking that- because its works with curing such-and-such, in conversation and Pop accepts their words as law. Nek minute, hes in the kitchen creating said food or drink from various ingredients ....and this only lasts a week or two, before he accepts that doing so, is causing him more harm than good.

I was watching when tim had his foot issue and got up to go get some chores done and by the time I got back his face had melted off and he was wrapped in hipster scarves and leather jackets. Incredible

For all of the difficult health problems Tim has had to deal with over the years I was happy that for a while he was able to get off of a food based diet and instead move to getting his nutrition from a high quality vape. That give you nutrition at the molecular level. Good for you, Tim!
