Aim at the smallest spot possible. Made my misses smaller. After 45 years of golf, this 7 handicapper is shooting 3 handicap scores. My problem has always been the chatter from Self 1 interfering with Self 2. (Tim Gallwey, “Inner Golf.”) Thank you for this! PenguinGolf

Matt: I've been watching your videos about a year. The mental approach and carefree attitude you have shown have helped tremendously. I've been a 8 handicap for most of the last 15 years. I've gotten down to a 5 this year. I also had my best round in a club tournament this year. 66 on a par 70. I beat the field in a 2 man bb. Keep it up mate - having a ball watching and bringing the lessons to the course!

Every round is playing what you've brought that day. The range lessons are important, but as you've shown in the past videos and now this series with Michelle, each shot, and the next shot, are all you can focus on. Make your best choice, commit to it, swing. She's good, makes the game simple.

One other tip on reading putts! Finding the high point of the green is a good one, but also read the surrounding terrain up to about 100 yards out. Best example is if you're playing a course near a mountain or very large hill, and the green is near the base of the mountain / hill, that is going to highly influence the put regardless of what it looks like while standing on the green. The reason is that the land settles over time, so no matter how level the ground looks on that green, it's going to be sloping away from the mountaint. Once you add this into your routine and get a feel for how much it can affect a putt, a lot of the mysteries of why a putt broke a certain way become much clearer (things like "all putts break to the river, or the highway, etc...). Keep on planting birdies sir! :)

Hey Playa, I love your videos mate, clear instructions, and explanations, great content. you have superb coaches in Michelle and Eric, both cool dudes. I have been playing off and on for 35 yrs, not regularly enough to get to a mid handicap, at the minute I play off 19. Following some of these ideas i'm sure i will get lower next year as our winter is kicking in in the UK. one question to you, are you the only people who play on those courses? because the condition of the courses are second to none. never see any divots, bare grass area's etc. anyway, keep the great content coming dude. loving it!!
