Rene Descartes: “If you would be a real seeker of truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things.” I have come to doubt the current mix of RFK, Jr. and Charles in our upcoming Trump administration. It is an important tool in discerning truth and wisdom. Therefore, I do so only to stay on top of the evolving path Cardano and Charles has taken. This is because of Descartes quote as well as life long experiences. It is also because of how much I share in Charles’ vision to utilize the Cardano online block chain to decentralize governing political and financial systems, etc. and level the playing field for ALL. I believe the best thing that we can do as ADA holders, & members of our strong & loyal Cardano community is to come out in overwhelming numbers to protect the decentralization of our ecosystem by voting to ratify the new constitution. Does everyone know how to vote? I do not know the procedure for voting, or where in cyber space to go in order to cast my vote. Can those who know get this information out on all the Cardano KZbin sites like Dapp Central for those of us who are not on any of the social media platforms? By making Cardano open source, Charles has literally given Cardano to us a powerful tool that we never really had before to stand up to the powerful & corrupt interest of the few, & to protect our freedom to build the just & prosperous world in which we all want to live. The question now is: can we keep it?

How to vote? First step is self-custody of your ADA. Then find some tutorials on how to actually delegate your ADA to a dRep (if you want to be represented) or represent yourself by registering as a dRep. Most popular wallets like Eternl and Yoroi already have governance options. Considering dReps, there is no shortage of good people in Cardano community - Crypto Crow, Army of Spies, Chris O, BigPey, just to name a few... Important to note, after Chang hardfork part 2, if you're staking ADA, you won't be able to withdraw the staking rewards unless you participate in governance.

I am in the Cardano ecosystem since 2017 and in Catalyst since the very early beginning, first funded in Fund 6. All these time I was trying to utilize my 30+ years of innovation leadership in the Fortune 500 world to the ecosystem. In Fund 13 I learned about the voting approach of CF an I have to say that this is rather disgusting pure plutocracy, making all the thousands of smaller voters unimportant and obsolete. I will do some deep reflection over Christmas and might - after all this years - throw the towel and leave the Cardano world (btw: I was aiming to get in touch with CF and especially Fredrik multiple times over the recent years, unfortunately without success).

Hi Charles, Catalyst is far too complicated for most users to participate in. This, along with no incentive for people to participate as there is also an upfront cost in fees. D-rep voting also has its issues, not the least that ADA held on Ledger cannot participate due to Ledger not recognizing the required transaction. If Cardano wants to have more community engagement they need to engage the community. It is no use putting in place the best and most secure environment if accessing it's capabilities requires a lot of know how. Nice explanation of what is occurring in the background. Hopefully everything can be worked out amicably.
