I absolutely love Desperado on this thing. Its a laser and turns a 1v3 into a 1v1 pretty quickly in Trials. They did buff this archetype recently.

The damage profile just seems so off on these, but grav lance’s bullet damage difference makes it actually feel nice for whatever reason? Almost wish all of the two bursts had grav lances damage distribution

Grav has custom tuning so obviously it feels better. Altho this thing feels decent with zen moment for kinda peak shooting. But if you gonna pulse i mean 340s kill faster than anything outside sidearms..so.

Damage profile feels fine to me. So does the feel of the gun, which is it's saving grace. It's amazing for peak shooting too, better than other pulses. Just like rev-0. It's the rpm that needs changing, it fires too slowly. It's the thing holding it back. You're dead before you can do anything. And the range advantage isn't significant enough to warrant that slower TTK caused by the rpm. The rpm doesn't need to be increased too significantly, just a bit. I just think grav lances damage profile should be unique to it. Increasing rpm would have a greater effect inside PvP. With a damage profile like grav lance you make the gun more punishing if you miss the higher damage bullet. Which isn't great on a weapon with a TTK that already struggles to compete.

I ground for adept this weekend. Favorite roll has 73 handling with enhanced slice and hatchling. Feels good. Can sorta peak shoot. I love all the strand synergy. Thread of rebirth has 1-3 threadlings from each kill. Adds some chaos and I like it. 🙂

its fun as heck i love how it brap braps. i found it a lot more effective once i put on a full auto retrofit mod. normally i dont like full auto on guns, but on this one it seems to work. but, i dont think its a trials gun obviously and sadly. You want a high range roll. It needs the help.

D2 FOUNDRY HAS NOT UPDATED THE NEW TTK. Notice it still says its a 300rpm when its a 324 rpm. It's true TTK is 8.0, with kill clip its a 4 shot .47 TTK. 🙂

Honestly wish they'd given Anti-flinch to higher zoom weapons (barring snipers, or giving it insanely low anti-flinch on the higher zooms). Would be nice to have more guns with scopes and varying zoom levels; it would give a tangible benefit to other weapons than hand cannons, which already flinch a lot, and have been the best guns in D2 for years without question. I'd like options.

Agree with your point on 2 burst being less to worry about compared to a 4 burst. Maybe I'm far off but I'm starting to feel like 4 bursts only "felt better" in past because of the circumstance of the sandbox in other places. I feel like I have never met that many players regardless of sandbox in recent time and just uptick in recent additions of 4 bursts to be absolute scary 4 burst main demons with Disparity, Belisarius, Insidious, Veles-X, reboot Blast Furnace etc. I think there's just way too much risk involved with flinch being what it is currently and just other competitive options. It's way easier said than done landing all 4 shots on dome while taking fire. You'd think there'd at least be more people overcoming the odds against them and tearing stuff up y'know? I can find mains of various scouts(Fang Of Ir Yut heads), sidearms, smgs, even 720 autos, but nobody who's some idk big 5 digit defeats menace on Sacred Provenance. Idk I think back to when Blast Furnace ripped in Year 2, High Impacts were dumpstered universally for Redrix's sins and everything else was sort of a mix bag. Arguably it was tough to fight against especially when swappable scopes made big differences. Then over time the other pulses got raised up, other weapons and just not really a ton of room for 4 bursts. Also shout out to Y2's Go Figure and Right Side of Wrong I don't even think it's a situation of just not a ton of physical 4 bursts but just in that they don't physically work out super nicely for PVP when you need those shots to hit or you're in trouble

I just have to ask, for anyone that actually is trying to compete in playlists like trials & comp, why in the hell would you use this thing?? I really have to just say it now: High impact pulse rifles are by far the best pulse archetype in the game. Using anything else is a hindrance. 0.67 at NEUTRAL, is only more lethal with damage perks, & decently high range regardless of the stat. I love these types of videos exploring off meta options & other archetypes, but it is such a joke using any other pulse competitively compared to any high impact.

Hey Cammy, how come v few streamers factor in ADS time when talking about TTK? It’s always a factor in games like COD, yet Destiny streamers v rarely cover it. Surely that should be considered in each case too, though obviously Ophidians & mods can affect it. Just thought you’d be really well placed to do a video on it. because rarely will you engage someone and you’re not ADS’d, at least in a competitive environment. In Trials, mostly you’re hardscoping a lane with a 120 or Pulse, and ADS time isn’t a factor. Also TTK just refers to how fast the weapon can kill someone on paper, handling, range, stability, all those things are just secondary factors.

Day infinity of asking Bungie why T-steps doesn’t proc damage perks from reload and/or keep Hawkmoon stacks, but Hunter dodge can and it can give you radiant. Just another reason I hate Hunters, and especially in crucible because they are far better utility than any other class, and its annoying

Hunter dodge used to not proc on reload perks on launch then enough people complained so they changed it. Thing is people sometimes use things like t steps to refill the mag without triggering negative reload perks like killing tally. Gotta pick which one you want. I guess if you can somehow get enough warlocks to complain maybe they will change it.

These feel like a strange archetype. I was messing with a high impact reserves/high ground roll from the seasonal pulse for a double neutral damage perk to two burst in a rift. Even when it hit the two burst it just….wasn’t as good as other pulses
