'Christian mystics describe certain forms of mental prayer in which they speak to God, or what they call God. They say that in such prayer something tremendous happens which they call union with God. They are convinced this is not an illusion. Are they deceiving themselves? And what is faith? It appears to give people the power to do extraordinary things.'

Recognize and sit with the fact-the fact-that THOUGHT created (all) religion and then THOUGHT worshiped the THOUGHT it created. It is your conditioning that maintains that thought (as truth) and it is your conditioning that allows your thought to eschew all other antithetical thought. Illusion reigns supreme and there is no escape-just the creation and propagation of more thought.

"Be light to yourself." Through being absolutely clear over everything. One cannot be crystal clear through illusions, apparently. Believing is an illusion. One cannot be clear, to reach or find the truth, through an illusion. Be clear of yourself of illusion. Be doubtful of EveryTHing and look at it through it all to the end. Convinced of something is an illusion. No clarity comes through any kind of convincing illusion ... and so on. Be doubtful and question Everything!

I find that my interpretation of prayer is to bring into consciousness the hopes, fears and gratitude that lay buried internally...to assist in staying mindful of what is considered to be important to a person... while Krishnamurti teaches to dissolve hope and fear...most people have yet to come to that level of enlightenment so I would say prayer does serve a purpose even if there wasn't a supreme being listening and answering these prayers

I have seen one of his talk in another video about him telling the questioner that " i dont deny God " , but in his talk he literally said that he dont believe in God( for ex, those 300k thousands of gods in India) god which is created by humans thought. And he may also relate other concept of god from other spiritual denominations in the world, The only thing is, JK never mentioned anything in which of his own understanding of what God is, or suppose he may use other term that wont contradict to his own principal of life, but he also never want to give a simple practical explanation to the audience about all things he talked, it is just as the modern India mystics like Sadhguru says that JK refused to explain in a simple way, or to relate in easy picture or even speak in parables as an effort to make every people understood at ease, so people are always confused and not getting the 'nugget' of the talk , which means many of his talk is even seem 'useless' to the people because not everyone are sharp enough to process it, however JK is absolutely one of a amazing human being and we in the modern era with all this technology, can now use it to replay his video and do research on it and connect the dot through our personal experience. Now even to myself, as a Christians who have gone through an awakening in this very moment found that every belief that i have as a solid Catholic now gradually loosened up, i cant explain in the words what is really going on with me but, it is a terrifying transformation/change in every aspect of my physical,perceptions etc. This accumulated 'faith' as a Christ follower is so enormous that i was having a time to reflect on it sometimes but not everyday. It actually true as JK said that this was an illusions but i also had this 'heartache' that i wont simply leave Jesus just like that, because i know He existed from the beginning to the end, meaning Jesus is eternal like our true self, and all of Jesus's message throughout His lifetime is an effort to bring us to connect to Source of Creation which we human created a word as (God). so through awakening is when we really perceive this physical reality as an illusions, and that we are hundred percent responsible to survive in this jungle of reality, knowing that i must walk in this path without turning back i know Jesus is always with me, because all eternal being are interconnected or united in this one vast consciousness, this means Jesus is with me, and Father is with me simultaneously. Thank you for reading my experience

We can’t get another Guru like him that’s for sure, I have lot of questions to ask based on my experience in realisation on Supreme entity or God, my child was pulled out of major disease through prayers, light appeared when constantly cried out to God. I definitely feel it’s not a thought. I felt there is a supreme entity and we all associated with it, the suffering brings realisation may not be meditation. I don’t understand many things, like so many are suffering and praying but all never get answered or myself wrong or everything is just a thought and illusion.

There are so many people with great faith not killing other people. Faith is neutral. You can believe in religion and then abuse faith, but you can also have faith in Love and do good things. This man is confusing things. Nationalism, faith, God (there is only one), Christianity can all be all practiced peacefully without violence. When people distort ideas through lack of understanding, blind faith or indoctrination etc then they effectively take a wrong turn and inevitably fall into something of the opposite. Krishnamurti lacks objective understanding and appears to be guided by a deep resentment.

A nation is an abstract notion about groups of people with shared history. Eventually nations we know them will whither away but it's a long and complicated process. Trying to abolish all nations today in an idealist sense would just be a disaster for those people whose cultures and already oppressed and In threat of being destroyed by global neoliberal capitalist accumulation. In one sense globalization is getting rid of old nations as we speak but objectively we can see this is not an even process of peace and love. On religion having slavery mentioned in the book is not a reason to blame specific religion of Christianity, Islam or Judaism, for things like slavery. Slavery existed before these relatively modern religions. Some argue that the ethical guidelines in the holy books were a vehicle that led to eventually slavery's abolition.
