I remember listening to this song on my Elephant Mountain album... it brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat simply because of its sheer beauty. Such a tight instrumental...

The single, with this on one side and "Darkness, Darkness" on the other, was a solid and happy part of my 45s collection for many years... thought of it while driving with the family out to Olema. Just as good as I remember. Maybe better. Never heard the full length track before, its lovely!

I had that single until last year (someone stole it); Many nights rockin' to this, brother.

Heard this live in Winterland in maybe 1969. Jesse introduced it by saying "It's a long song, for a long road"!

Some pretty good jazz played by a folk-rock band produced by a country music legend. HA!
