New album Equilibrium is out now. Beautiful compositions. He actually shows restraint in his patented speed picking runs. It’s more fast 16th notes instead of the fiery 32nd note runs he usually does. I love his mindset for this album. Incredible. My hero STILL has it😂. Long live T Mac!!!

For the record I think Tony's best playing is with Cab especially on a live Album they did in 2002. Tony is more restrained in his work with cab but in that live album where is also restrained, when he does his solos, he really lets it rip. The rest of his guitar playing blends into the rest of the music nicely. Of course, it helps that the rest of the music (in particular the rhythm section) is quite a bit better than on Tony's solo albums.

Wow, this is one of the best things he has ever done in my opinion. I'm also a big Steve Vai fan and this sorta reminds of Vai a little bit. Love the melody around 415, this is just a masterpiece from the beginning all the way to the very last note.

This piece pretty much accomplishes what a debut track sets out to do; heightens my interest in listening to and purchasing the rest of the album. Of course this is Tony we are talking about and I am also not that difficult to impress. If the rest of the album is along these lines then I'll probably enjoy this one more than Death of Roses, which I also like.
