Another gem-love it, especailly seeing you lighting the fire and cooking 'in the field' that quad looks like a lotta fun too :)

Thanks JP. Not quite as adventurous as your rock-diving, but the sea was benign that day. When there's any weather, that's the scariest, noisiest, most seriously exciting spot I've ever fished, and got stuck, and seen quads nearly washed into the sea, and caught some serious sea-trout and salmon. You can't beat a wee driftwood-fire and a cook-up, and a home-made wine: Sláinte

Another great video, you can't beat catching fish then eating it right there and then, enjoying the spoils of your catch while we wonder what boring life the rich people must have! Looking forward to the salmon season.

nice video .. wow what size hooks are those?? you have your camera in a perfect place , it is nice to see the bite. oh yummy the old flounder .. that's one thing I do miss from back home , lighting up a small fire on the beach and enjoying the days catch ....I sure do miss the Kahawai, plenty of meat on them....
@DiarmuidNZ8 жыл бұрын
+Maurice Brown Thanks Maurice. The hooks are about size 10. There's still plenty of big kahawai about, and a few good salmon.

Awesome videos ,can you tell me what weight sinker you use non your flounder rig Cheers
@DiarmuidNZ11 жыл бұрын
Thanks man: I vary the sinker depending on flow and depth and cast distance, from about the size of a blackcurrant to a raspberry (not sure of actual weight): it should just bounce gently along the bottom - not stop-dead and not stay off the bottom. Tight lines.
