I have had a few Russian friends, and it has been my experience that they are vastly different in what motivates their behavior vs people in the USA. There is great respect for academia, science in particular. They play hard, and they work hard. I’m appalled at the lack of knowledge by college students in the Us. The west is so smug and out of touch with the Russia of today, and its’ people. I agree with you concerning p. Trump, I didn’t think he’d be elected, and they certainly tried to prevent it, but hey, when I saw the sh*T eating grin on biden’s face at the meeting w/trump, I figured something was in the works to inspire such glee on an otherwise angry man’s face. When they rolled out the legislation to allow the UN to control our people, and even punish our citizens, I raised an eyebrow, and when they passed legislation to allow troops to fire on our own citizens, I figured that a larger plan was afoot. And so it is. Evil is indefatigable, indifferent to both the joy and suffering of creation, insatiable in its desire for power and delusional in its estimation of its own prowess. So here we are, blithely arming Ukraine and “laughing with delight”. If only good men had had the vision and will to stop these corrupt men and women before they acquired such power.
