Hi Mickey! I’m so sorry about your ear injury. I feel bad that you now need something to help you to hear, but you seem pleased that it’s helped you so for that I’m glad. I can’t wait to see Rebecca’s ring…that is so sweet of you. I saved my rings from my first marriage (I was widowed in 1995) and my oldest son asked me if he could have the diamond to give to my future daughter in law…she loves vintage jewelry. I did this, but felt bad for my daughter in law from my second son. I had a diamond from my great Aunt and had that reset in a pendant with some of the side stones from my original engagement ring. I wanted both of them to have something from my first husband. My daughter-in-law was shocked that I thought to do this for her. Both daughter-in-law‘s are just beautiful and each have given me a grandson that I just adore. That is such a sweet story! I treasure my mom's wedding set, when my mom passed, my dad gave me her rings and told me to wear them everyday and it will be like she is still with me. These are the pieces that are most important to me. I will be sure to take pictures when the ring is restored to share!!

It does take time! My biggest challenge was getting moving in the mornings, I like to stack my day with things that depend on each other to keep me on track. Like, got to clean the fridge to grocery shop to make the dinner...etc

Yes, it's crazy how things happen. I was upset in the beginning but I have come to have peace with the situation. On the big scale of things, I am very fortunate and there was a painless solution to the situation.

Thanks for sharing, hearing issues are apparently very common. In my case, I always felt I couldn't hear as well as others and just never thought much of it. I guess there is a silver lining to most situations.

Hi Kathy! I put my sponges in the dishwasher every time I run a load. It may shorten their usable lifespan but like to disinfect them as often as possible.
