Sweet little unit! I currently load everything with a compact tractor but there are times I would love the nimbleness of a mini. Thanks for the vid!

after buying a machine with lights, I will NEVER go back lol, total game changer when you end up running late into the night or loading up at 5am lets be honest, you read the manual and found the float control didn't you? "I don't need no stinkin manual" - Spencer probably so far so good it seems, looking at an SVL65 kubota or TL12 Takeuchi now for forestry mulching
@metaspencer8 ай бұрын
True story is that someone sent me a screenshot of the page in the manual about the float controls ... and I was like DOH! That float function is soooo cool now that I know about it though :) But hang on: did you say loading at 5am???? Sounds like someone gets out there dang early!
@WoodCutr18 ай бұрын
@@metaspencer mainly loading at 5am when I bring broken equipment home at 10PM, work on it till 2am, sleep till 4:99 and go load at 5 to work at 6 lol yeah that owners manual will get ya, still need to go back to kubota and hold them up for mine, never gave me the manual or parts/tools bag that they shoulda

Love the channel, thanks for the video! I’m currently working for a ROW tree company trying to build my business up on the side! I can model after you since my “ground crew” is always slacking too! I recently got a small chipper and now I really want a dump trailer and doodlebug 😂

I cant believe the cost of those mini skids! Some bobcat models similiar to that one around here are still pushing almost 30k used beat to death its wild! Deff a needed machine for tree work with the small footprint!

Yeah it's crazy. And once you get a few attachments the prices just keep going up.

Recommend an inexpensive (500 or $600) 48" or 52" light material bucket (snow or mulch bucket) then you can just grab the bucket with the grapple to take to every job for final cleanup after using grapple. Time and body saver.
@metaspencer8 ай бұрын
interesting! I like the idea of that light bucket ... thanks for the tip!

cool little machine , quick and small ! however i am very fond of my avs rt 40 4100 lbs and loads brush over the 7 ft sides of my trailer< there are so many new ones out . tiger claw has a stand on that looks good , lifts high and is stout , its around 4000 lbs , sooo many new ones on the market now, all way to pricey .i am hopeful you are doing well, seee ya !

Exciting man! I think you're gonna like it ... I did an oil change after just a few hours on it just to be sure to get out any debris ... and I'd recommend going SLOW at first and learning how it moves and such. I say that because it can be very TIPPY if you're not careful. Driving over a single branch can tip it if you're moving fast with a load. So be careful man ... enjoy it!

Good video once again. It is fairly typical to adjust tension on tracks with grease. It also stinks when you need to put a track back on because you typically have to compress the adjusters and it pushes a TON of grease out. Keep them tracks greased for proper tension sir!
@metaspencer7 ай бұрын
Interesting! I had no clue as my other machine has mechanical tensioning. Good to know! livin' and learnin' here haha thanks man

Have you heard mutch about ditch witch? They are $38k+grappel cost... You'd recommend the wider version maybe? I was considering the more narrow for access, but realisitcally would appreciate balance
@metaspencer8 ай бұрын
Yeah the narrow access is nice when you need it, but in my own experience (just where I work) I VERY RARELY go through narrow backyard gates. For me, width would be worth it but it depends on your working conditions buddy. Ditch Witch machines have a great reputation -- I've heard lots of good things for sure

Hey man, I did a 120h review on mine. I had it for less than a year, it's a solid machine overall. I wish I had gone with the sm120 also. Your grapple looks a lot better than mine. I wish I had gone with a bigger one. What specs is yours?
