These shorts were way ahead of their time, miss.todd is so beautiful, and she always will be a true 🌟 Much too young, born in 1906 (same year as my great great great grandmother) and she lived to see the rise of youtube! Todd should of lived longer, but in her short life did amazing things!

Todd and Pitts are funny together. Never knew they did shorts with a female comedy team. Watching this is refreshing and new cuz I’ve seen the Laurel and Hardy shorts so many times. Zasu Pitts was a VERY funny comedic actress. Her facial expressions and delivery are hilarious.

This was the only 3 reels short they did together. It’s a shame the beginning credits got cut off but the full thing is on the set that sprocket vault put out . Also, this was the teams very first short together.

Yes they cut the first part. The best part was the song "Them There Eyes" and this starts at the end of the song. This mimics the real life story of Thelma. She had been hire at the local store to sell cosmetics, but all the guys would in and hang around and not buy anything, so the owner fire her for "Being too cute". She did win a beauty contest and was Miss Massachusetts of 1925

The part missing is maybe the best part of the movie: Thelma Todd singing Them there Eyes , and "making eyes" at the the gentlemen.

They did take off, they wouldn't have made so many if they weren't popular. But they were forgotten over the decades.

Who's the actor playing the osteopath? His voice and mannerisms are very familiar, but I feel like I've only seen him act when he was older

Hall Roach avait eu l idée de créé un duo féminin a la Laurel et Hardy mais ça n est pas du niveau comique des rois du rires.
