The only way to fix the Mexican government is to overthrow it. Also the US government benefits greatly from it being the lawless place it is. I live in Mexico, and I'm an engineer and me and my friends (who are engineers as well) dream about going to the USA one day. It's hard, but I'm still grateful to be here because those guys you met, they have it worse, Venezuela is just a deathbed, zero hopes of surviving there.
