My groundhopping tour took me to H&R a little while ago, they won 4-3 with a last minute goal. Atmosphere was great, kids, owner, players everyone was on the pitch and celebrating. Great club and a lovely ground.

I went to Hampton Grammar School in the 70's and my old Economics teacher - Jock McLean - turned out for Hampton (as it was until 1999). Don't remember too much about his economics but his best teaching advice was 'stick to pints lads and avoid shorts, your stomach will fill up before brain gets senseless'. Always remember that when I am on my 7th pint........

If you wind up doing a second game of National League - because you’ve said you intend on going up north for the next one - you should come to Maidenhead. Oldest continuously used ground by the same club anywhere in the world, and we even have the blue plaque to prove it!

You missed a sitter there, a very rare sight as actual goalposts for matches, so really needs pointing out if you ever see any again.
