Great to see you attended an FA Cup Preliminary Round match for OTR. Here's an idea for you Matt - following the winner of each subsequent round until the FA Cup Final. Now that Mickleover Sports FC progresses to First Round Qualifying, the next FA Cup OTR is from that ground (home or away) that they are drawn against. Whoever wins that tie, you follow them through til the Final. Great mini-OTR series. Great series nonetheless.

Go to South Shields, quite a long journey as it is in the north east but it’s worth it. It was one of clubs on the average attendances chart. Little fun fact for you aswell, one of the centre backs used to play for grays athletic

On that meeting someone you know nowhere near home, I remember when I was a kid, we went to the snow (in Australia you go "to the snow," which is basically driving up a big fuck-off mountain in the middle of winter), for us, this was a 3-4 hour drive. I was very young at the time, but I distinctly remember my dad going over to talk to a tall bloke and his son, who was about my age. He came back with a shovel so that we could build a snowman, and told us that they were our neighbours from across the street, and we'd return the shovel to them when we got back. My parents broke up shortly after, and I'd hang out with that kid most weekends when I was at my Dad's place, although, truth be told, he was a real stick in the mud and his dad was a bit of a douche. I've heard stories of people meeting their neighbours literally in the middle of the woods in like Portugal and shit though, so it's a small world, really, but when you're a kid that shit blows your mind.
