That FIRST male student who spoke about his blind teacher said some things that gave me CHILLS. I hope other teachers were listening. 💯

As a first year teacher, I definitely agree. Learning how to talk and engage with students is a skill that always needs to be improved upon. Having teacher learn by not using visual aids and tech would be a great way to increase vocabulary and speaking awareness in the classroom.

September 28 is Confucius’ birthday and we celebrate it as Teacher’s Day in Taiwan. I myself, have became a Mandarin teacher for over 20 years now thinking about retiring. Thank you for these stories and the message of “You are never too old to teach.” . That shall keep me going for a little while longer.

We love Steve Hartman On the Road and Kindness 101 programs. This program he brings attention about teachers. Teachers teach future leaders. But, teaching is not a job with good pay. We are currently short of teachers. Not surprise ?

I think teachers aren't always in the classroom. Sometimes they're in a tent or carry a backpack instead of a stack of papers. My husband was a scouter for about 40 years, taking his boys to camp every summer. A week of summer camp and a 50 miler were part of the adventure. When he passed 6 years ago, I had contacted everyone I could find. I received a call from a gentleman who said, "I would not be half the man I am today if it weren't for Mr. Rich." As I heard this, I was in tears in the grocery store, realizing how important he had been to all of them. I continue to deliver his promise to serve in scouting with a different group of scouts, but I don't carry a backpack or serve in a tent. My service is as their webmaster and I still enjoy delivering his promise to serve.
