The fact that this film turned out to be one of the greatest action-thrillers of all-time when everything was made up on the fly by Andrew Davis, Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford. If that’s not a miracle, nothing is!

Like I said before I had another video clip from this movie. I never thought I’d see a movie with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones together. I really like both of them and to see them together is beyond what I expected and I’m glad they enjoyed working together and the movies with them this is my favourite movie with both of them.

Poor Harrison, the only chance he has ever had to win an Oscar but Tommy was much better and according to Academy rules they don’t give Oscars both in supporting and leading roles in the same movie. The same happened to Tom Cruise in Rainman, which was to me his best movie ever playing a regular dude.

So much better than modern rubbish movies. Ok the dummy is obvious but who cares. They didn’t blow the budget on CGI and end up with mediocre story. One of my all time favourites!

Bigger and better than many of John Hughes films from 1984 to 1991 - Universal/Lorimar's Sixteen Candles to Warners' Curly Sue as writer, producer and director. It lasted for eight successful years.

That idea of Gérard chasing down the subway tracks in a car sounds laughably stupid. It would have ruined the movie.
@andrewgardner89722 ай бұрын
Actually it would have been like running scared 1986 which had a car chase on the el tracks in Chicago and also it would have been a homage to the French connection with Gene Hackman with the car chasing a elevated train. And plus Gene Hackman worked with Tommy Lee Jones and Andrew Davis on the package 4 years before this film and was considered for Tommy Lee Jones’s character Sam Gerard.

Movie ripped off scenes from the TV show. Lots of over acting with unbelievably scenes. That 20 agents would be working this case(don’t they have other cases) with unlimited access to vehicles and helicopters 🚁 is preposterous.

Sure, and you can also say that the lady picking him up on the highway is totally not believeable and that when Ford looks at the Xray of the child in the ER he holds it poorly oriented, and when the look at the microscope for the liver samples from the dubious medical trials it's actually healthy kidney histology samples and why didn't ford tell the entire congress room full of doctors of what the bad doctor did, where it was safer for him? All of this is true, and I love a perfect thriller as well, but at the end of the day it's not a documentary and it's highly entertaining and thrilling without insulting my intelligence. The excellence of the acting and pacing of the story, and the quality of the action scenes far outweigh the issues of the plot, to me.
