The way to do the Champagne trick is to run your sword along the neck of the bottle once you've removed the foil and the cage. This works because champagne bottles are made in three pieces, the main bottle is made in halves vertically and the lip is made separately. You don't even need to do it with a sword, anything stiff enough will work, I used to do it with a spatula when I worked in bars.

I really liked this episode of On the Spot. They actually tried playing the games. There wasn't too much distraction (discounting the Achievement Hunter invasion). Not too much yelling. I can't remember the last time an episode of On the Spot actually felt like a show and less like a spectacle they happen to have cameras pointed at.
